really depends on personal preference to be honest. Auto gives you that ability to stick it in a gear and forget about it, but manual does allow you to choose exactly what gear you want in certain situations. Youd probably be best to do some research and form your own answer though, as it really depends on what you like and the type of offorading you are likely to be doing
Yeah along with what our friend Matthew said, it also depends on the vehicle itself. Newer vehicles are typically better off-road in an auto, whereas old school autos aren’t as reliable etc
Manual any day when your going down steep rocks or up very rough rocky areas I will never go back to auto in the rough that’s my opinion anyway I’m heading down there in february 22 cheers
