I like the crossbow for culling since it spooks less herds. When culling, I try to take one per herd and make my way around

Yeah I think it’s going to be a bigger grind considering it’s all public land, even on the SE island the biggest I’ve seen is a 3 star so far. I shot a 18.36% 1 star the other day. I’m enjoying the heck out of it so far, awesome map and having a whole map to manage herds on is awesome.

I shot a 5 star moose yesterday in the same place you did. 20 minutes later I shot another one further south. Both were very gray. I also had done little herd management on moose.

My second day of playing this I got my first moose on Nez Perce. 5 stars. It was incredible. It cost me over 7k credits to taxi it, but it was worth it

It would be cool if the kept track of animals life in game so you would know if was one you let grow and stuff. Would be cool to see the progress of the antlers growing over time

If you interact with the maps in the main four cabins it will tell you what region is what on the map. And some camps give you the ? Icons.

No,you just need to pay attention to their fur color to know if a 3 or 4 star us going to live enough to become a 5 star. But 5 stars shot are always 5 star
