Today is the departure day of our Very Merrytime Cruise on the Disney Dream. This is our first family trip with Thea, we hope these videos can help anyone who plans to bring their infant on a Disney cruise. The Disney Dream was sailing out of Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale. Our boarding time was 1:30pm, the 1:00pm group was let in extremely early but we were only let into the terminal a couple of minutes before 1:30. If you are traveling we an infant I would recommend showing up to port near your boarding window. Disney Cruise Line just opened their own terminal at Port Everglades, it features a Finding Nemo theme. Once we boarded the ship we were welcomed in the decorated atrium. The atrium features a large Christmas tree and gingerbread house for the holidays. We had a verandah room on the 9th deck located right by the elevators. We do highly recommend trying to get a room near the stairs and elevator. Make sure to bring magnets to decorate your door! We brought Star Wars snowflakes and gingerbread cookie magnets. After getting settled in our room we explore deck 4, home to D Lounge, The District (Pub 687, Pink, Skyline, Evolution, and District Louge), Shutters Studio, Vista Cafe, Buena Vista Theater, and Walt Disney Theater Balcony Seating. We did go shopping on departure day at Mickey's Mainsail and Sea Treasures. After a 12-hour day, we decided to order room service instead of going to our rotational dinner. Rooms service is available 24/7. Hope you enjoyed day one of our Disney Dream cruise with our seven month old!
