I really don't mind the idea of a baby alicorn, if one parent is an alicorn. I feel like Celestia is too ancient and wise to be able to really connect with anyone on that level to have a baby, Twilight is too young, and Luna is too private. So we have no other way to see if it's possible to crossbreed and get an alicorn. But it apparently is, and I really don't mind it. They could probably make some great story around it about how no alicorn has ever had a baby in centuries, and how they aren't sure of the consequences involved. I'm actually excited to see it.

It honestly doesn't surprise me when Shining Armor has his dorky moments. I mean he is Twilights brother after all. Where do you think she inherited her own for dorkiness from? Makes me wonder if either of their own parents (Nightlight & Twilight Velvet) will ever show dorky moments also. As for Flurry Heart, I can't really say any of my own thoughts til the season premiere. Let's just see what happens and go from there.

One of my favourite stories about Cadance? As I recall at the time Cadance came out originally, the intent was that she was to be a unicorn rather than alicorn. This was round the same time Pinklestia was a thing. Toy shops told Hasbro they wouldn't carry pony toys unless a certain amount of them were pink. Princess Celestia was one of the casualties of the Apinkcalypse as a result. Pink Celestia toys were put on sale... And barely sold as kids said no due to her being the wrong colour. Correct colour Celestia was eventually released, but that meant a bunch of pink alicorn models that weren't going to sell... ...right as the production team were gearing up to produce a 2 parter about a pink royal unicorn. A slight tweak to the story later and Hasbro's investment in pink alicorn toy bodies was salvaged! Then whole new lore for alicorns was introduced as a result. Her backstory in her book was eventually written that she was a pegasus pre-ascension, but that's not how Cadance started out.

2:19 ok, that was not Hypnotism, That was mind control. the key differences are: hypnotism requires the person being hypnotised to be willing to do so, mind control does not. hypnotism is planting a suggestion NOT total control, mind control is what it says on the tin, complete control of the person! but hey, maybe im taking this video Too Seriously.

My prediction for Flurry Heart is that she’s the princess of justice and good judgment. In Times They Are a Changeling, when Thorax reveals himself and starts hissing and snarling directly at her, she is perfectly calm, whereas a normal baby would at the very least be screaming her lungs out. Meanwhile, when everyone is turning on Chrysalis, even FH is glaring at her, horn aglow!

I think a way to give Cadence more a personality kinda works with Silver Quill's headcanon of adrenaline junkie Cadence. If Cadence was a pegasus before make her a sports fanatic who loves the Wonderbolts. Edit: If Shining Armor is the dork then make Cadence a jock instead of miss popular.

How do Cadance and Shining work in the show?.....eh. How are they still liked?.....maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaagic.

This was probably one of the funniest episodes of "Too Seriously" by far. The interactions between Firebrand and Silver-Quill is hilarious!

This is why I like the comics. It expands Cadance's and Shining Armor's love and relationship.

I loved how you played the piano 'Love is an open door'. It symbolises the sickening perfection between Hanz and Anna of Frozen (that is, before the fantastic plot twist!) This unreal and gross perfection is also fitting for Cadence and Shining Armour. I would love to see a big twist on the couple's ideal life in a future episode like with Frozen (just as long as nobody turns evil)

Rewatching this and realizing Silver predicted the season perfectly

So I believe that's 5 alicorns now. Do I hear 6? As for Shinning Armor and Candance, They are the least interesting characters for me. I just see them as ponies who occupy space in the world of Equestria but until they actually do to get me invested in them I'm just going to say ""Hey it's that pony nobody cares about."

I am extremely disappointed that there has YET TO BE A MALE ALICORN! I mean, really! It's so stupid. Only females can be an alicorn because REASONS!

Cadance and Shining Armor are like those relatives that seem to have a perfect life, and you don't know much about them as a child but you know they're nice. And then you grow up and realize they have a horrible life like everyone else's.

Cadance and Shining Armor have gotten more development in the comics than they have in the show. I wish the show would incorporate them into more stories.

WAIT WAIT WAIT. HEADCANON TIME: The new season is airing in the spring...ish. This episode will air on or next to April 1st. (The 2nd is a Saturday). The whole wing thing is just a prank by Discord.

However, that how I always enter new concepts. I wait until I see what the writers of the show are going to do before I form an opinion. However, I do feel like Shining Armor and Cadance are sorely under utilized. Also, Lily Peet was both adorable and hilarious in this.

WHOA Firebrand, you showed in this episode my WHOLE Saturday.

It seems to me the biggest reason for the under-utilization of anything Crystal Empire-related, including Cadance and Shining, is because the writers want to focus on the Mane Six...and NOTHING ELSE! We've heard numerous times that Spike is often left by the wayside because some of the staff feel there's no room for him. Would it not be a similar effect everything in what is technically considered a distant land? It would also explain why we never get anything on Celestia, though she is only just around the corner in Canterlot. It would ALSO explain why they decided to make the future of Equestria in its entirety depend on Twilight's friendships with the rest of the Mane Six... Though...when you get right down to it, if these excuses are true, then they are also ultimately hollow, because the show is called "My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic," not "Twilight Sparkle and her Close Circle of Friends" (And not for reasons pertaining to excessive wordiness). While the Mane Six may need to be the show's overall focus, they don't need to be in every episode, let alone the sole focus. We can afford to have an episode or two focusing on Cadance's daily life or Celestia's, without involving the Mane Six or Spike. Even the anime, Naruto, didn't feel the need to make the namesake/main character the sole and absolute focus. The point is, I feel we could get a lot more out of this show, including the incoming Flurry Wing, if the writers and show staff didn't feel the need to stay exclusively centered on the main cast. Because at this point, I'm worried that Flurry Wing's not only there for toy sales, but also to cause Twilight to visit more often to Fowlsit as an excuse to visit Cadence more, even though...that's not really necessary.

I agree that Shining Armor does need more to his character. I like to think of the Alicorns as being the MLP equivalent of the Elves from the Lord of The Rings. They are immortal, wisest, and fairest of MLP beings. There was a great war and Alicorns left to another damention much like the elves did (or something) in LOTR. The Alicorns could also be like Superman's race. I absolutely like the new foal design for Baby Flurry Heart. Her eyes look more human and her wings make her like Dumbo. She could trip over them and that just makes it cute.

Aren't Carrot and Cup Cake _FiM_'s ideal couple? I mean, they have challenges but they work together to overcome them. They've also survived every challenge thrown against Ponyville. Including having Pinkie Pie living upstairs. Meh. I still say Fleury -- I mean, Flurry Heart will lose her wings. Sorry, guys, Fleury's someone from _my_ series. Curse you, Google+, for spoiling not just _TFA_, but _FiM_ as well! On the subject of Cady and Armour, this is why I retconned them into _First Gear_ as Gearhead's magic and combat teachers, and have them work together to protect the Chrystal Empire later on. I even give them a Pactio, helping to emphasize their mutual partnership.

I really liked this taking to seriously episode. The script was hilarious, you and silver work great together, and I agreed with most, if not all of the points. ... Yeah, that's about it. And I have no problem with flurry heart if they give her a good explanation and make her an actual character, or at least important plot device.

Question: Do you always play "love is an open door" in your vidz or is this to outline the 'princess trait"?

Food for thought about Cadence and Shining Armor, I always thought their creation was due in part as a one year anniversary of Prince William and Catherine's wedding. Especially since they used Tori Spelling (who co-hosted the E!'s coverage of Prince William & Kate's wedding) to host the release of the 'Royal Wedding' and the 'bridal' shower event/commercials.
