I am going to ride the C&O Canal Trail from Cumberland back to Washington, DC. I plan to use my time wisely by riding the Rock Creek Trail in Washington, DC, while waiting for my next train to Cumberland, MD

Cool trip to DC. Nice views of the National Mall, monument, and the reflective pool. Jam up in the tunnel. Tight fit! You are probably smelling honeysuckles on the trail. Nice river side trail. Looked like a great trip so far. Interesting area for a campsite. Should work. Take care and have a wonderful day.

I was just visiting DC from Florida and my favorite part was the Capital Bikeshare bikes. We rode Rock Creek trail a few times.

Yes you don't have to have your own bike but you can use these services to ride the trails. DC has some nice trails👍

The seats on Amtrak are comfortable. Awesome, you got to get off the train and ride around. The trails there are amazing! Jasmine has a sweet smell, maybe that. Which train is this? It looks like the double-decker one. What a neat campsite!

I rode the Rock Creek Trail in Washington DC and now riding the C&O Trail. I'm in Harpers Ferry today, started from Cumberland MD yesterday morning and I should be back to DC tomorrow. Gorgeous weather to ride. Yes, I had the double-decker, much smoother ride. Unfortunately they don't send double-deckers to Florida.

The most beautiful Amtrak train ride is over the Rocky Mountains by California Zephyr from Denver CO to San Francisco, double-decked Superliner with observation car but I like all of them.

Careful in the t-storms today. Have you tried the capital cresent trail yet? Its right next to the c and o canal. Its a great way to get to bethesda from g-town ...
