ngl the description of the song made me nostalgic yet angry at the same time at remembering my own youthful immaturity and naivety. On the one hand, yes, you can follow your dream, but on the other hand, no need to make a big deal out of it. You'll either get it or you don't, and live will go on. It's the kind of perspective that you get only after working for a few years, but it just highlights the difference between the sea lilies and the feathered stars.
i agree so much!! a lot of moments in life made me want to restart life, questioning why the young me being so naive. and yes, live will go on, some will fly on the sky, some will stay in the bottom of the sea, just like some feather stars (not all of them likes to swim all the way), and i will always believe what is meant to be for us will always be ours, and it is whats currently best for us, no matter what :D
My interprentantion was:Getting rid of something/ a person who Only gets you in the "bottom of the sea", the boku wa/kimi wa I dont think it has that much meaning But it could mean the "you=Sea, Me=Sea lily" The girl at the start of the Song was alone because of the Thing that was pushing her for the sea, "Dont come back here" "Dont laugh at my song" I am going to use a bit of your own meaning,The Song was talking about the song itself,The sea lily dream is about getting out of the sea And so is the song(or altleast in my interpretation)Dont come back here could be the person/thing that was geting her in the sea, about the "Indigo" this part is in the middle of the song were she didnt rid out of the thing that was bringing her down,So when she was close to touch the sky the thing/person bring her back to the bottom of the sea The nante my first transalantion of somebody Was "Why?why?" So i Though it of the sea lily asking herself why she only gets in the bottom of the sea,I Dont remember which part was but the lycris said something and "Ikanaide" Which is "dont go" I think the dont go could be OR about the thing/Person who is draging her down Because she dosent know that is that is bringing her down OR her dream about the sky but that dosen't make much sense,That is just my interpretantion and if you are reading this i hope you liked! i always wanted to know the meaning and honestly i didn’t think of the title as the tale of the sea lily deep in the sea but more of the deep sea’s tale; lily
ahh yeah i used to be so confused with the english titles too;;_;; but since the JP title is 'umiyuri kaiteitan', and umiyuri basically means sea lily/crinoid, it's less confusing :D

I like those kind of song, it sounds meaningful while being vague which makes a lot of people relate to it since we can all found our own interpretation to it. It also has both vibing/encouraging and sad/melancholic which makes it an aboslute banger in my eyes. Love your interpretation ! :D
