Sigh all those glory days locomotives from the 90s are all getting rebuild or scraped it’s so sad but I’m hoping or we all are hoping for some restoration works for locomotives that are from the heydays will be in museums and tourist

Some will be saved. Most Dash 8s and Dash 9s will get new homes too.

A lot of these are being bought by Genesee and Wyoming for use on their short lines, so many will be returning to service.

Awesome catches! Is CSX 7858 a recent retirement? I was told that 65 Dash-8’s are on Recommended Retirement this year, but 7858 wasn’t one of them on the list.

That one has been there for a while. I believe since 2019.

Weird it's still listed active by CSX, reportedly it was there for emissions testing from what I heard. It's the only Dash 8 on that property still owned by CSX. Wonder if they're finally gonna do something with it eventually or send it back to CSX

A lot of these locomotives are getting rebuilt, except for BNSF Railway. BNSF is actually building new ES44ACH and ET44ACH locomotives, numbered 3282-3331 and 3625-3674.

We are begging, many of us, please do a video with the drone of all the CSX Ac44s there at Wabtec thats awaiting rebuild. I noticed CSX 550 alongside 382 was also there and more units in the background. I have a list of units ive caught and am wanting to see just how many are there now awaiting rebuild. Please and thank you!

I will see what can be done. They keep moving around in there so that would be tough. Several are already reduced to their frames.

Those are for testing components made in the US. the Euro version has an identical unit in Turkey.

ABOUT 114, and 127, I think 127 BL20GHM still in service, 114 almost done rebuilding.

Some railroad museums are actually rejecting GE locomotives that have been offered to them. Amtrak offered their first two P32-8s, 500 and 501, to the California State Railroad Museum, and they turned them away.

@@Matts_Conrail_Chicago_Mainline Bruh, I would never reject units like that. The B32-8WHs need preservation. Although, maybe it's because of reasons I am unaware of, such as space, I don't see why rejection is even an option.
