I watched "A Year and a Half in the Life of Metallica" not too long ago, and there's this scene where they're doing a festival where Suicidal Tendencies is also playing. Rob runs off the stage from under a curtain, and all I could think was, damn, that man has aged a decade, *maybe* a decade and a half over the last three thirty years. 😸

xMETALxROCKxMIROSx Find the story Kirk told on Howard Stern last week it's about a 60 second clip on RU-vid in Howard's studio, where he talks about "a fucking pigs head" getting thrown on stage, the funniest part is the last line where he talks about his guitar getting "plastered by a deviled ham sandwich" lololol for some reason it's hilarious to me that mid-performance he's able to discern this flying sandwich as being deviled ham 😂😂

Kirk's story isn't that daft - I was taught in the Army to put my socks on my hands when showering and use them as flannels so you'd wash yourself and your socks at the same time. Infinitely sensible.

Why do Metallica fans care so much about how succesful and popular your favorite band is? I thought metal was about not giving a fuck over mainstream appeal and succes but instead just making badass music in spite of the possibility your not gonna make nearly as much money as the average pop icon.

Looking at some of the comments did make me chuckle out loud, but I have sympathy with James's lack of memory, we have to remember that ALL the bands that are still touring etc that appeared circa 1983-84 are all in their late 50's now 60 even. Its a shock for me as I got into metal in 1981 with Motorhead, Iron Maiden, I look at them then myself and think 'hang on, I'm sure I was listening to ( for the 1st time) Live After Death 10 minutes ago.. where have 34 years gone? I'm amazed that they still have memories!
