Velvet is easily my favourite tales protagonist she has a level of complexity to her character and everything she goes through in the game just makes me feel like she needs a hug

A female main Character who looks like she's everything that Certain Chuunibyo girl wants to be...badass Demon hand, is an anti Hero with Dark past for Revengeance. That's why I'm planying this game.

It has been 5 years the game had been launched Since then: -Attack on Titan has already 3 seasons finished -Dragon ball super had ended and in progress to be launched again -boruto already has 150+ episodes -black clover has 100+episodes -boku no hero has 5th season And there is me waiting for berseria to have its own anime

Remembering berseria story always brought me to tears. The characters have gone through so much

Velvet is one of my favorite Tales series protagonists, second only to Luke. She has so much depth to her character and she’s also a badass.

I like how it starts all pretty ...then explodes

Man, what I'd give to have a Berseria anime. It has such a great main cast that fits together so well, despite being so incredibly different. All six of them fulfill their role in the story amazingly, none of them feel put of place, and the story wouldn't work nearly as well if any of them were absent.

Still my favorite tales game by a huge margin. 10/10 story, 10/10 characters.

I like how Dyle, Medissa, Kamoana and Benwick are in the intro too. One of the few games where the side characters were just as interesting as the main.

Velvet has got to be my favorite female protag in any game. She's massively underrated.

This game's story telling is just fantastic. I love, LOVE, every story they have in this game. from the main story even the extra scene. The story toward the ending is especially heartbreaking, and the way they ended it, is just... I don't have any word to describe it in one word, It's sad, somehow made me happy but disatisfied, but it's actually fitting and heartwarming, if you want to put it simpy, it's absolutely beautiful. I'm glad I managed to clear almost 100% of it and witnessed the end of Tales of Berseria. What a beautiful game.

Clear message to all JRPG fans: Tales of Berseria is one of the best games of the decade. PLAY IT, you won't regret it.

I always go back to this intro. So much feels esp. when the song and scenes explode at 1:16 - I felt Berseria did a lot of things right esp. story & character development. They also upped the English voice acting and it's the first time I wanted to play an entire Tales game in English. I cannot wait for Arise.

Story is an emotional roller coaster. Makes sense seeing how emotion vs reason is the main theme of the game

Just beat this game today. It's the first game in a long time that I just couldn't wait to get home and play it nonstop. Loved it.

Definitely the best tales game i have played to date. Amazing story with amazing characters that have stellar development. On top of all that it had a fleshed out lore and great gameplay. Absolutely fantastic.

You just feel the power and the passion in their voices, especially as they end off the song near the end, so melodic and it fits so well with the visuals! =)

Playing Berseria before zes really changes the tone of that games lore

I haven't really played a tales game since I was maybe 10 or 12. I think that was my first to be honest, and it was Tales Of The Abyss. Now as I am getting back to JRPG again and decided to play Tales Of Berseria, and damn the nostalgia it brings. It really brought me back my love of JRPG and their focus on storytelling compare to games like Skyrim. I would like to give a shout out to the devs who made this game possible and my deepest thanks for having a chance to play a game as wonderfully made as this.

just realized when Eizen jumps down the ship, you can see Kamoana being protected by Dyle and the others. Its those little things that make me love this opening

This game deserved an anime WAY more than Zestiria did. Only thing I genuinely enjoyed in Zestiria were Zaveid and Edna.

Just bought this game a week ago on steam, and I never skip the intro lol...impossible!

1:04 I like how they added the footprints in the snow, although it wasn't necessary it really tells you they worked hard not to leave any details out.

I tear up at the opening every time I start Berseria up and see this and I'm not ashamed to admit that.

Just got the game. Some people tend to only see the revenge side of her character. Which is there, but they seem to ignore the fact that her peaceful life was stripped away from her by Arthur. Though you do see slow development with her, and she is rational with her decisions most of the time. If this game is doing one thing right, it’s hitting the sympathetic element right on the spot. I mean you think of it this way. If your brother/sister was killed and you had to tend to the younger one. It would take time to recover, but given the brutality of their death can last a life time. Then say that your youngest sibling was killed by the person you most trusted. Everything unraveling just like that. Not even willing to give a hand, but to further their own means. That will fill almost everyone with a sense of insatiable rage. You have no home, no family, you lost whatever made you who you are. Though the difference is that Velvet keeps her sanity to a certain despite what has been done onto her. Then that number two, she names him after her brother since he’s like her brother. So there is that sense of responsibility she has. That also shows her regret for being unable to stop the demise of her brother. Velvet isn’t a character at face value for sure, her character and development is not direct but rather indirect. She is an excellently developed antihero from what I observed so far, and can’t wait to see more. The game really hits the tragedy element right on the nail. It starts off a bit slow, but progresses steadily. This game probably is not for the feint of heart either. It touches elements that other in its series didn’t.

I finished this more than a year ago. BEST TALES EVER.

Years later and currently on my 4th playthrough i'm so glad that i preordered this game because i had a "hunch" it was gonna be awesome. I've only preordered 2 games in the last ~8 years, this and Nier: Automata, damm worth it.

It only took 3 years for me to finally play this legend of a JRPG. Better now then never!

The way the camera pans up to Titania from the tranquil sea, then you see Velvet's therion arm bust through the roof just as the guitar riff kicks in Seldom has there been a better way to open a video game

Love the opening. It sounds to have so much promise then that rock guitar plays and you know it doesn't have the same formula as the other Tales games. Starts out soothing and then a few moments later it turns intense... just like the story lol

the audio is bugged...there's a black screen for about 30+ secs at start where just the audio plays and thus the last 30+ secs of the video don't have audio, checked comments not just happens to me and shouldn't be a chrome issue since other videos are fine....you guys might want to look into the issue
