Tales of Dartmoor - The Hairy Hands

Well done - this was a very well put together video - and interesting too. The hairy hands is the first thing I ever heard about Dartmoor when i was about five - before then, I dont think I had ever heard of Dartmoor before. Great legend. Subbed you, and shared this video to our page!

I first heard this story when I was a little kid in the mid 1980s. This story was told on the kids TV show on ITV called The Wide Awake Club and it scared the hell out of me!! Great video Sir!

I camped on Dartmoor two nights ago. It was very creepy and eerie but I love the place. There is something very mystical about it. I went to this old pub in the middle of nowhere and the front door was rattling in the wind. I felt like I was in an old film or something. I urge any tourists visiting the UK to go there. It's a very special place.

Great video bud! I used to work on Willies ice creams with you a few years back! I’ve driven that road many a time in the van like yourself! The change in chamber of that bit of road can really throw you out if you’re not careful! Great stories and really well presented! Hope your acting’s coming on too bud! 👊🏻

I live in Okehampton, a town on the foot of Dartmoor, I grew up with tales of the Hairy Hands, the Kuri, The Hounds and the Meldon Pond Pike

Hello I just checked out this on Dartmoore IMP I subscribed ,Is there anybody out there ,Its November 21st 2022 ,Are you still around or is this a Ghost Town . I have been out on Dartmoore Wistman woods is amazing ,Its a Hauntingly Mysterious Place for sure ,it also links into Bodmin moore . Werewolfs other wise called Dogman , These Apex Predators Are real flesh blood creatures in fact there found through out the world . Alexander The Great wrote about them as Did Marco Polo Explorer, The Dogman originally came from India an island off India. There all over England from Scotland through to Cumbria Leicestershire Northamptonshire Yorkshire ,The Moores in Devon Cornwall ,Dorset ,Essex . They are Terrifying On all fours at shoulder 4ft on there 2 legs from 6ft to 9ft .Soldiers on exercises saw one through Rifle scope in 1970s . People Dont like to talk about there sightings for fear of people saying there crazy Not believing them ,But There real .There are written accounts of them all over the world . Same story told by our woodwork teacher (Tom Church) based at Ashburton Secondary Modern School (1966) when I was a pupil there. I'm not sure if it happened to him initially, but that was where I heard it first ?

the hairy hands stretch of road is dangerous to drive.. you travel down a steep road down and up in a valley. at the bottom is a stone bridge, set at an angle to the road and with adverse camber. The cars approaching this bridge tend to travel at speed going dorn the hill.. when they hit the turn at the bridge centrifugal energy comes into play forcing the car of the road.

Hey IMP Studio. I was wondering if you knew more on the tale of The Kuri. Ive searched around and seem to get the same tale recycled with no new bits of info anywhere. I was wondering if you might know more about The Kuri besides the generic able to be found on google search and within some youtube videos.

Some say those hands belong to a worker of the old powder factory who blew up himself after imprudently wearing hobnail boots inside the premises of the powder workshop.
