Ricardo does not have much going for him. He is a character that relies heavily on OVL to extend combos, but many of his artes are not effective. The BnBs I use throughout the video are Ricardo's best and most consistent artes. One point to mention is Gatling Evil. Outside of OVL, this arte only connects after an Impact Shot in the corner. You'll see me use this frequently, followed by Flare Bomb. This combo reset helps Ricardo extend combos as necessary until hit-stun degrades. I prefer to have the "Aggravate" skill on to trigger bosses to rage counter more often. Successfully countering resets your ability to step cancel, which is immensely helpful as my objective is to push the enemy to the corner. Beyond that, Ricardo lacks the "Destroy" skill, making it difficult to break Iron Stance compared to other characters. Shorter opponents like Chitose and Sian are incredibly annoying due to their small size and posture. For Ricardo, I find myself already leaning into late Arc 2 and Arc 3 OVL strategies. Either way, I still had a good bit of fun recording this.
A pretty fun watch =03. I enjoyed seeing you overcome the limitations of the character, in particular to opening up the boss. Gardel was my favorite. Funny how you kept missing Chitose because of the Naruto run 🤣. The ending to Hasta II was pretty cool; love Shunjinsou kills when its animation is right(my fav Leia arte). Did you expect to kill him before he hit you, or was you just going in on 'em? Dunno if it matters, but the video is not 60fps for me(can't tell the difference that much with my old tv anyway (>.>) ).
Thank you. For Hasta I took a gamble since you can often follow up Mystic Artes if you attack immediately. However, I knew my hit count was high so it most likely would not work. I thought the MA would have finished him so I went for it. I did get a good laugh watching him flail across the field. I rendered in 30 fps since combat is locked to 30 fps so it doesn't matter in the end.
