Coming back to it 2023. 32 yrs old and it still chocks me how well produced this entire movie was. I appreciated it even more now and what a great legacy it left behind.
I remember the most impressive part about this machinima back in the day was that they got people with epics and t1-t2 to act in it + they got horde and alliance to act together. I remember that was what blew my mind the hardest.
That was probably the best inspirational speech I may have ever heard and the "Honor them" line just wow it makes you really believe that World of Warcraft isnt about being Horde or Alliance but fighting for Azeroth. Besides Blizzards normal stories are good I think but every expansion is like well I guess the factions have to team up to fight an evil bigger than their fight thats like 4 generations old. Youd think by now faction wouldnt matter I love them both anyway.
i think it's hilarious that the fans are able to make thingss involving lore characters that would actually make sense for them to do better tthan the blizzard devs can. like thrall asking for rexxar's help when a major conflict comes up
Gorbag was my guild leader back in the day of The Ancient. I still have days when it comes to these nostalgic moments... I hope all my guild team is there and they are all still great as they were back in the days! Cheers, Div the druid!
This is the first time I've ever heard of this fan movie, and man it was totally worth the 2 hours and change. People are amazing with what they can make!
Watching in 2020, still one of the best 2 and a half hours of my life!!! So many feels in this movie. Also, good lore. I have played wow since it's release in 2004. I love wow machinimas, and this one is my fav!!
This is so much heart. I remember being a young child playing burning crusade, watching this and being excited for Wotlk. How time flies. This had so much more heart than any of the official blizzard writing has for many many years. At least we have this to return to. Beautiful time in history.
Simply beautiful, its what got me into wow in the first place. As a kid I would bawl crocodile tears every-time I watched the final showdown between Blazer and The Lich King, it was just too beautiful.
"Have you found my hat yet ?" that part always makes me laugh AND shiver because it is such a roleplaying thing to do and adds so much depth to the characters. This video stays the best wow machinima ever. Wish this would get remastered by geniuses like Hurricane. Ever since I watched this video, playing my paladin always comes with a sort of pride to it, and for me : the class hall in Legion had a special place for Blazer. Epic video, much better story than official WoW stories.
this is one of those legendary fan made movies , like nazo unleashed from chakra-x , and this one as well i rewatched it so many times , guys this truly is peak , the nostalgia we will never get back rip my brother who couldnt make it , i still think of you every day when i login. guys the war within is comming , we are going home lets goooooooo
This is one of if not tge best wow machimas ever! The lore, the true to character action and dialogue, the epic battles... This was really well done and I doubt it could ever be topped!
I like that they followed a semi-accurate narrative about the corruption behind the House of Nobles in Stormwind, then decided the Lich King really needed to be involved
No longer do I subscribe to WoW. But this is still the greatest fan-made movie ever. The fact that they add actual voice acting with impressive editing for fights makes it even better. I mean, these guys made the characters feel like they were authentic characters that Blizzard made.
Canon: Arthas, the blood of your father, of your people, demands justice! Fanon: *Arthas, God is pissed at you!* (Though thinking on how this clearly came out first it does make me wonder if Blizzard took any notes. "Hrmm, epic confrontation between paladin wielding the uncorrupted Ashbringer and Arthas? _Yes please!_ We can make that happen.")
Daaamn so fucking good, I remembered the name blazer randomly, wondered why, remembered something about ashbringer and here I am years later. almost as good as my crusty pvp vids ;D
I don't know The fact that there is some prick called "Blazer" talking about "God" and being overly smug makes it feel very disconnected to the Warcraft universe
so... this was pushed into 2 and a half hours... were the story of warcraft was pushed in 1 and a half... were the story of warcraft is 3x bigger then this one >< how you wanna fit that in 1 movie...and the animations in the movie were better...
after watching that Hollywood warcraft movie and then this movie, this is a million times better, I felt more excitement watching the elf jumped onto the drake mid air ( 1:12:09 ) then I did during the whole Warcraft movie 10/10 would watch again
