Totally agree it’s funny that you should mention Dragnet since I believe these two radio series were always great to listen to episode after episode from start to finish! The fact that the Texas Rangers show only lasted a couple of seasons was very surprising thank you again for these RU-vid posts

Pioneered by Jack Webb this format aged remarkably well because it is a format that still exists--these were the original "true crime " dramas. Because they're based on actual cases they stand the test of of time because crime doesn't change. There's still murderers, thieves and conmen and their methods remain largely the same. As long as this is the case these shows remain relevant.

I ran across the Tales of the Texas Rangers radio shows on a different channel and binge listened to all it had. Was hoping to find more episodes on this channel since you are good about being so thorough. But I was surprised to learn it was only on for 2 years. I am very familiar with the reputation of the Texas Rangers having grown up in Texas. These programs and local descriptions have made me homesick. -You do amazing things with the old radio programs but even you can’t create more episodes! Lol
