Just discovered this series on the dedicated western channel GRIT along with several other shows from the late 50's and early to mid 60's when the western was in its heyday. I've become a great fan of the genre and especially of Dale Robertson. This series and his prior this one Tales of Wells Fargo were interesting and entertaining. No man ever sat a horse better. After learning of Mr. Robertson's background and upbringing and accomplishments with his ranch, breeding programs it was very understandable. Anb that beautiful gray patch of hair. . . . ❤
All time favourite tales of Wells Fargo along with wagon train the Texan. Johnny rebel give me a western any day thankyou for the memories I grew up really enjoying tuning each week episodes thankyou
Are you still enjoying Gunsmoke as well as these. There were so many more of them, and they were awesome and made the weekends TV watching fantastic, Saturday's anyway
*With the exception of actress Judith Ames (who played the blonde woman) all the other guest actors are dead, including the young actor who played the boy. But Judith Ames is still alive and kicking as of September, 2021, still dreaming of Wells Fargo days at the ripe old age of 91. In November she'll celebrate her 92nd birthday.*
WE DIDN"T SEE MANY OF THESE SERIES IN THE PHILIPPINES IN THE 50'S...MIGHTY GLAD TO WATCH 'EM NOW...CRYSTAL CLEAR VIDEO @ AUDIO INDEED!!! MUCH OBLIGED FOR THE UPLOAD!!!
A favorite of mine. Two intros used the steam locomotive & stage coach. My choice is the... Stage Coach. Dale Robertson Jim Hardy was thought of a hero to young boys watching television 1950s through 1960s going into syndication of today.
It was a pleasure working with Ms. Jacqueline holt, as her caregiver now she's 93 yrs oldshe is the daughter of Nat Holt the producer and she's also an actress in this movie
Thanks for the info, Myrian. I see from IMdB that the lady had quite a busy career in front of the camera, back in the day, in shows a few of us will recall quite well.
Just noticed that Jim Hardie(Dale Robertson) doesn't wear spurs, The only other cowboy that I have noticed doesn't wear spurs is Clint Walker(Cheyenne) to me that is impressive, as most of these shows were produced by cruelty, animals were just collateral damage, I like to see a sign that they cared, obviously Dale does
What Sociologists observe when viewing early TV Series Shows ... a plethora of information on the subject of "Human relative to their Social and Cultural Influences." There's so many points of Clarity in those. 🌞 ...and Dale Robertson was quite an Authentic, Genuine Individual. He "is" quite a good nature/energy/Soul. Pleased the ruffles and lace are not required on ladies apparel in the present era. 😉
The actors who played the sister and the actual bank robber had long careers and long marriages. The young boy was in Mickey Mouse Club and .had a short acting career but had a very successful business career.
Actually Dale is right handed. He learned to shoot left handed for the show. If you watch episodes of him checking in to hotels he signs with his right hand
I absolutely hate it, detest it when kids are used in these movies and they always try to be smarter than adults, and afterwards the hero rewards them for being f'n assholes! I'm bored to death.
