Talk Africa: 60 years of China-Tanzania ties 

Hi and welcome to this special episode of Talk Africa co-produced
with Tanzania Broadcast Corporation.
Today, we’re coming to you from Dar es Salaam Tanzania to celebrate
60 remarkable years of diplomatic relations between China and
Tanzania.
Eleven years ago, Chinese president Xi Jinping visited Tanzania, the first stop of his first
trip to Africa as president of China. During that trip, President Xi put
forth the principle of sincerity, real results, amity and good faith to
guide China’s cooperation with African countries.
These two nations proudly share a comprehensive strategic
cooperative partnership, which has significantly bolstered the socio-
economic development of their people. With China standing as
Tanzania’s largest trading partner and investor, the collaboration
between these two nations has consistently been at the forefront of
China-Africa cooperation.
This week on the program, we are taking a trip down memory lane to
explore the evolution of this profound relationship.
