In the first of an impromptu two-parter, William Regal chronicles the health issues that he’s suffered over the last couple of years that nearly cost him his life! You’ll hear how through the workings of science and modern medicine, some excellent doctors, and a bit of fate (or maybe divine intervention), Regal defied the odds, beat death, and lived to tell the tale of not only his extremely rare heart surgery, but also the neck injury he’s been suffering from for 30 years that he didn’t really know he had! And in between his surgeries, hospital stays, and doctor visits, he managed to scout talent for WWE, hold tryouts, and produce some incredible events for NXT. He talks about his program with Bryan Danielson, working in the ring with Cesaro, and his last unofficial match with Sami Zayn.

The match that Regal had with Bryan is a match from WWE Superstars November 10, 2011 in case anyone wants to look. It's always great to hear wrestlers talking about insider stories and getting to see them live as they narrate it.

I was there!! One of the few WWE events I’ve attended live, great moment with “Just a Man” playing… lovely to see it meant so much to Regal!

Same, I was there for that match. It was great when the crowd started singing along to it as well. Such a great match while Regal had all the issues and injuries he had. We can only dream what Regal in his prime vs Bryan would look like. Felt privilage to have been there for his last match on home soil.

Sting has always been my favorite wrestler since I was a kid. Mr. Regal has been my favorite pure wrestler of all time. He's the only heel that I would actually root for as a kid because there were times he would win clean and I loved watching his style. When he would win clean I would get so angry because there was nothing that I could say about it other than he was the better man that night. That was something I loved about watching him. Thank you Mr. Regal for all the sacrifices you have made over the years with time away from your family and the torture you put your body through. Thank you for the great memories.

Mr. Regal is a true man, people such as Mr. Regal is why I love professional wrestling. Wrestling with a torn bicep, pec and meniscus just too put someone over. If everyone poured their heart and soul into their work the way Mr. Regal does this planet would be a lot better off. Thanks Mr. Regal for sharing but most of all thank you for loving this sport as much as we do.

The love that William Regal has for Bryan Danielson is powerful. He talks about him as if he was his real son.

I love how emotional he gets about good wrestling. It's so good to have people like Regal and Dragon back in pro-wrestling after so long. I know what they were doing in the meantime is also kind of pro-wrestling, and there are occasionally good matches in WWE by accident, but you know what I mean.

There’s no such thing as a “British” accent. The accents in Britain are many and varied. His accent is quite midlands-y. No surprise given he was born in Staffordshire.

I love William Regal. Started watching him the month he arrived in America. He was a babyface in WCW then and just Steve Regal. I have to laugh at all of these young pups suddenly claiming to be "the biggest Regal fans ever" because he's in AEW now. How many of you were gloating about him as a 13 year old kid in 1993? I was and have been ever since. Better yet, how many of you were even alive?! You can always smell a fanboy who's just jumped on the bandwagon as opposed to someone who has adored him for his entire Stateside career from almost Day 1. Glad some of these folks are finally catching up on how brilliant Regal is.

When was he a baby in WCW?
@Jqkus
@Jqkus 2 года назад
@@hulkwarrior Yes sir, he absolutely was. I wouldn't have said it otherwise. He began as a babyface when he arrived in early-1993. Here's one of my favorite matches from that time, when he faced Barry Windham for his title in April of 1993 while Barry was NWA Champion. Whatever numbskull posted it spelled his first name incorrectly, but here it is anyway... ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-CGjgBgYu4NM.html

I don't know how in the hell they're going to book Regal, Danielson, and Moxley as heels. I just don't see it working. It has nothing to do with Regal and Danielson, but the spaces they're in at the moment with the fans. Regal would have to eat small kittens in the ring in order to get people to hate on him.

He's going to wrestle Osprey soon, you'll never see that match in the E. If you haven't seen Mox's promo on Osprey for there match check out the NJPW channel, it's good.
