The bass line during the chorus is my all time favorite. It's so simple yet driving and melodic. It exemplifies what role the bass should play in music IMO.
1000% agree... without this bass line, the song wouldn;t be the same (still one hell of a song though, but that bass....)... i wonder if it was mark who wanted a big fat bass line, or his engineer/producer...
Since I play a few instruments, I tend to hear some over others in a song. Generally drums or synths/horn and bass..this song i can ONLY hear the bass its so driving! Love!
That was one of the most competent bass lessons I've found on youtube. Your layout seemed optimal with the tab on the upper left, the utilization of dark clothing and background, and camera angle, made it super easy to follow. Thank you!
oh man, you did an exceptional job, outstanding, you brought tears to my eyes watching you handle that song with excellence. i have a bass but havent learned to play it. i always love the bass in songs and it was pure joy to see how an expert handles it. you blew me away.
During the 80's, we only had radio and black&white analog tv. Other kids in the neighborhood have nintendo and we don't. That's why i had the best opportunity for listening to music more than playing computer games. 80's and 90's were very memorable and this song really fits that nostalgia.
I really thank you again for your system which is with no doubt, the fastest to learn. I learnt today that the singer died this year so I could play it in few minutes.
Fantastic- probably in the top 3 New Wave Basslines!! The only thing I play different is I play more of the main riff on the A-string (8th fret A for the F)
Anteayer empezaba yo aprender esta cancion de oido y hoy ...que sorpresa!...esta aqui! Muchas gracias por haberme evitado mucha faena, ha ha. El cover es magnifico, el de N.I.B. tambien. Saludos de Alemania.
Amazing as always, you've really inspired and helped me learn bass. 👍 Any chance you can do: Hermod's Ride To Hel - Lokes Treachery Part 1 by Amon Amarth?
When I click on "tabs here", I'm not seeing this great "Talk Talk" tune in the list. BTW, always loved this bass line, great choice! Always try to remember, no matter how difficult things seem to get in life, somehow, someway, things always seem to eventually work out. One day at a time:)
Was glad to see Talk Talk in Media Fire but for some reason it keeps asking if I want to sync it which I haven't done with any of the files and when I open it the audio just sounds like a CD skipping? None of the other files do that? Not sure why, I deleted the download file and redownloaded with no luck. No worries I'll try and figure it out. Hopefully I'll get it going, really wanted to learn this one this weekend:) Hope all is well:)
Have you ever done a cover of Roundabout? Haven't been able to find it if you have. Amazing work as always, I play along for at least 30 mins a day before working on my stuff. much love to the personal stuff, were here for you CS. ♡
