Another week of fair to disappointing baseball has led Mark and Evan to seek outside expertise on the Tigers' woes. To help out, the guys welcome back Tigers radio analyst and former MLB player Bobby L. Scales II to the show. The trio try to make sense of the team's wildly inconsistent run production. After the break, the show focuses in on the expectations surrounding Riley Greene. What can we learn about Greene's potential from his walk rate? The trio also discuss Colt Keith's struggles and if the second baseman is finally starting adjust to the major leagues. Later in the pod, Mark and Evan cover health updates on Javier Báez, Kerry Carpenter, and Jackson Jobe's upcoming rehab start.

Poor hitting instruction on Tigers and in Toledo. Look at Malloy with his bad mechanics- nothing changed with him since we got him. No momentum in his swing. Do you chop down a tree with a backswing ? Do you swing a golf club with a backswing ? When a pitcher throws does he reach back ? Same damn thing hitting in MLB, must have momentum or cant hit 95. Malloy waves the bat around uselessly then hands are STILL and swings from that position- wont work in MLB in velo land.

If the Tigers just keep waiting for young players and prospects to pay off, then we may never see the playoffs again. They need to add a true veteran "difference maker" bat this winter to bolster the roster. The pitching is good enough to win next year, but if Scott Harris doesn't give a major boost to the offense, then the pitching won't matter. Crap or get off the pot Scott Harris! lol

What exactly is being accomplished this year? The parent club is mixture of good starting pitching, horrible infield, decent outfield and disintegrating bullpen. On most nights, the offense struggles to score runs. This is a bad team that is getting worse.

Great show. Love when you have on Scales. Looking forward to Jobe. Would love to see him in the rotation next year with Skubal, Olsen and Mize. Hoping Kenta will get back to his true form. Heard Manning has a new slider working. Thanks guys for doing this show.
