In this video, I take a look at the two Lego Icons Lord of the Rings sets: Barad Dur and Rivendell. DON’T CLICK THIS!:bit.ly/2UaPI6p Instagram: / madaboutminifigs
The seeing stone (Palantir) in Barad-Dûr is another one to the one that Saruman has. Originally, seven such stones were brought to Middle-Earth. Sauron's stone was originally placed in Minas Ithil, that was renamed Minas Morgul after Sauron's forces took it, and he used that stone to communicate with and corrupt both Denethor and Saruman, through the stones that they possessed as heirlooms of Minas Tirith and Orthanc, respectively. The other four stones were placed in Osgiliath (lost in the river Anduin when that city fell), and three locations in the north (ANnuminas, Amon Sul and Emyn Bereid) that doesn't feature in the Lord of the Ring's story.
Barad-Dur and Rivendell are perfect Lotr Lego sets, sadly, by the time I could gather the money to actually buy them or only one of them, they'll probably be retired by then. I wish Lego would release affordable Lotr sets (not counting the brickheads).
