I had a near-death experience watching that mew-two movie. No kidding but I had an asthma attack watching it for unrelated reasons of course, was rushed to hospital and stop breathing at one moment. Luckily I was already in the hospital at that moment and because I was a kid I didn't dare watch the movie again till I was way way older. I did however challenge myself to finish pokemon yellow with only a pikachu (minus the pokemon soley for fly and cut) and was so proud I was the only kid that accomplish that (amongst anyone I asked then). Yea have a strange history with pokemon, fun times.

Hey, I love Generation 4 and I want to recommend a Drayano game of it for you. I can tell that you genuinely love Generation 1 like I do, so I figured I'd recommend it. Play Renegade Platinum. It's basically Platinum but with reduced HMs, instant honey trees, Fairy type added, stronger Team Galactic / more events with them, more available Pokemon, harder Gym Leaders/Trainers, and other quality of life improvements. Dawn is also a new rival added. It's the same thing as Platinum though . Levels are increased and so is AI, but not too the point where it's too much. The Gym Leaders have more encounters there to give them more personality. E.X. you meet Gardenia in the ice route before challenging her, you go through the muddy route to meet Crasher Wake to ask him for a challenge, you help Maylene and Candice stop Regigigas from reawakening, etc. I also enjoy how Dawn is a new rival. It's fitting since other generations make the opposite gender your rival. The game also makes unused routes like 212 and the Pal Park required as parts of the story. There's so much more I can talk about, but I really don't want to spoil a lot of it. This version just adds so much more to Sinnoh and makes it even better. You should do a review of the game if you do decide to play it. This would help spread it around even more. The game made me love Platinum even more. Now, people are doing challenge runs of the game and making it more known. Let me know what you think of it later on.

Rambling tekking is something I need at least once a month. Arcanine is my favorite gen 1 barely above Jolteon. Just such a regal pokemon, always reminded me of a lion when I was younger.

I can't wait for him to really talk about YYH.

To me what sounds more reasonable is if Tri-Attack had a 33% chanceto burn, a 33% chance paralyze, a 33% chance to do nothing, and a 1% chance to freeze....a 33% chance to freeze would have been too broken

As someone who grew up with Pokemon, this was a nice nostalgia trip. My friend next door and I never played the games, but we loved the anime and used to collect the trading cards. This was my first proper introduction to anime. My favorite Pokemon as a kid was Psyduck. Always loved that cute little ducky, and its running gag with Misty. I didn't see the First Movie in theaters and neither did my friend, and he was an even bigger fan than me. But I really wanted to see it, so I bought it with my savings when it came on VHS. I could have just rented it of course, but I was too impatient to wait for it to come to a local video store. I then watched it with my friend at home.

I found the story of Tekking getting the Pokémon movie from his parents very touching. I didn't quite shed a tear, but I was moved and smiled.

You're not alone tekking. I was mowing an old ladies yard and pushed the mower passed an old dog house. Apparently yellow jackets had taken up residence and didnt appreciate the noise. I didnt notice they were there until my legs were covered in them and I cried like an little girl, 100+ stings.

First introduction to Pokémon: My grandmother randomly bought me a VHS of the first movie (that i still own) that was on the bargain table. Got me instantly hooked. Best Pokémon related memory: So during Gen. 3 and 4 there was something (in Germany at least) PokéDay. It was basically a bus full of merch and stuff driving around the country as promo but also to give out rare mythical Pokémon. So my father decided to go on a trip with me because the closest stop was 2h away and that was usually too far away for trips for us. They gave out Darkrai's related to the movie that came out. It had the signature attack of both Dialga and Palkia. Still got mine. Was an awesome day. Next year: same deal but with another Pokémon (can't recall which one it was). However, the year following that my dad thought it was the same but in a closer location. Nope, GameStop. No bus, no show or anything (They never done another Pokéday since then). Boring? Nope. My dad spent the day with me and we went to eat somewhere fancy with kangaroo hamburgers (actual kangaroo meat) and ostrich steaks instead. Totally broke his budget that day but he seemed kinda disappointed himself despite disliking Pokémon. One of my most favourite memories i got of my childhood as well as one of my most favourite memories with my (big) dad.

You should really consider checking out a guy called Ace Trainer Liam, who makes Pokemon content, cuz he's making a series called Pokemon WTF moments where he basically comments of the WTF moments of Pokemon. It's really funny.
