First of all this is awesome, so much to unpack, what a fantastic learning resource to share, thank you. However I could not get this to run out the box on the quest 3. Just get a black screen. I am used to doing "platform -> vr preview" which here out the box gives me a black screen. Also OpenXR plugins were enabled. But in the meta documentation it talks about not enabling the openxr plugins at the same time as the MetaXR plugin. I can of course change the default game settings to something else like a first person controller but I feel like I am missing something and want to find out what the problem is. Or should I get a black screen the first time I open this and try to run it? Is there a particular SKD I need to install with android studio to get this to build? Because it does not build the APK directly to device either.
Solution - "I needed to open the meta quest link and go to settings -> general - > OpenXR Runtime and set meta quest link as the default. " . Not sure why my other projects were working but I needed to do this for Barneys Basement to work . This project is awesome.
I'm guessing there is some additional settings needed to get this project to run well. It runs extremely poorly on my 3080ti, so I tried enabling instanced stereo to boost performance, but that causes a blank screen. Is there a secret to getting more than 10 FPS from the project?
You guys are superb but please can you upload a better quality video, can't make out UE interface when you go to screen share, needs to be 1080 and above. Thanks and keep up the good work!
This would be cool, but why is it running at like 4 fps? Is that just the person demoing it? If so, doesn"t that heavily hurt the reputation of the demo? If you're talking about its amazing optimizations, why demo it on a "potato" to where it looks like a slideshow?
