In this episode, Saniya shares is a powerful tale of courage, kindness and letting go. We hear of a 35 min long panic attack leading to an ER visit, moving back in with parents and having her mom hold her hand at night, and the freedom and relief that comes with the inner work. This episode will resonate with you especially much if you are a type A person and doubt that recovery is possible. It is.

Just wanted to say thank you for sharing your experience. I have so many similar experiences. Grad school, panic attacks, type A personality, scared husband. All of it. I have been through rough experiences in life including losing a sibling to suicide, but yet this has completely wrecked me. I have been working this program for almost 4 months now. Things improved right away. I didn't go right back to sleeping every night, but there was hope. I am going through a speed bump after sleeping great for almost 2 weeks. See the problem, I was keeping track. I just needed to hear a success story and this has calmed me as the anxiety was getting the best of me lately. The crazy thing is I have slept in some way, shape or form this whole 4 months, but my brain wants more. I can't just be glad things have improved, now they need to be perfect. How silly! To anyone who sees this, you can do hard things! Things get better, but it is so gradual. And yes it is a blessing in disguise.

I don't know what it is with me but hearing that she had hypnic jerks aswell is so SO reassuring. It feels like hypnic jerks are this really bad thing that no one had on this channel except a few people but it's not true... It's about the way people see it. I have health anxiety and to me not sleeping is not nearly as scary as the symptom itself. And the fact that Michelle AND Saniya got through this means I can too and that I am fine. Thank you for everything.

@saniya warwaruk I appreciate the time you spent describing how the recovery process is fraught with doubt, bad nights, and worry. I've thought that since I'm experiencing the same that I would not recover because recovery is dependent on being able to let go, which I'm having a very difficult time doing. Your story boosts my faith that while it may take a long time, it still is possible.

Hi Ryan, just wondering if how are you doing now?
@ryanwire
@ryanwire Год назад
@@melissasanpablo3493 I'm actually doing much better now. I don't have perfect sleep, but I'm not afraid of poor sleep like I was. I do still think about it from time to time, but I no longer obsess about it. I wasn't really able to convince myself that poor sleep isn't unhealthy, but I did resign myself to the fact that I can't control it. Maybe I should reach out to Coach Daniel and see if he would be interested in having me join him on Talking Insomnia. Hope you're finding help and reassurance in this channel.

Solid gold! I resonate with so much here. Thank you, Saniya, for sharing your story. It's so true that you come out of this slowly but surely. Your world truly starts to have more color and more moments of joy. Keep going towards your life and away from the efforts, and you will get there. And be kind to yourself when you find your brain trying to figure out how long you slept, etc. Think of the long game. Much love & peace to you all.

Thank you so much for sharing this story Saniya and honestly this Chanel has really saved me from dark moments of my relapse. I used to think that I was broken when I first had my insomnia 4 years ago and all the doctors I visited was saying that they do not know what was the problem with me. After thankfully recovered fully for happy 3 years, the insomnia suddenly came back very very unexpectedly and I found myself being helpless again...These success stories are truly amazing

@@saniyawarwaruk9746 so much. It hurts to see so many people stuck in a loop of horrible thinking. Believe me I tried to infiltrate every negative thread I could find and imbue it with hope. I know firsthand what it’s like to be stuck in that very very dark place. I’m glad People like Daniel exist on this earth. Truly. Any other period in time and it would’ve consumed me and plenty other people for the rest of their lives.

@@kristaquin nice. It’s funny bc a lot of ppl started giving me hate for spamming Daniel’s channel. Telling me things like stop spreading lies and false hope and snake oil. Some ppl even commented on my comments by saying “oh you’re just telling ppl to not do anything. GREAT advice. Might as well tell them to die..” it can definitely be a rough crowd. I suspect a lot of those people really are addicted to that mindset in a way

@saniyawarwaruk9746 2 года назад
Hi Jen - so sorry for the late reply. I trust by now things will have improved for you. To anyone reading this now - it takes a long time. I say this not to scare you but so that you have a realistic understanding of what to expect. If you'd like to expedite your healing, stop thinking about it and pay it as little attention as you possibly can. That you know it's been weeks and no change tells me that (at this point!) you were monitoring. And this is normal, and human so don't beat yourself up for it - instead, work towards filling your moments with anything but thoughts and concerns over your sleep. It will come.

@@saniyawarwaruk9746 hi Saniya. Thanks for your story and glad you recovered! Did you still manage to lose weight even though you had insomnia? I am trying to lose some weight and fat I’ve put on but I’m really worried that because I’m only sleeping 3 hours every night I won’t be able to lose the weight. This performance anxiety really prevents me from sleeping :(
