Regardless of my personal opinions of their last few albums, Winston will forever and always be the GOAT in my book. Nothing but mad respect for the man and the band who so heavily influenced the soundtrack of my teen years. Best wishes.

Their last few albums are still very good. Just because they didn't maintain the heavy technicality of their older music, doesn't take away from the quality of the newer music. Good bands aren't meant to stay stagnant, they evolve over time.

Winston is such a cool guy. Met him in 2013, they were in Kyiv for the first time. I came early before the show, like 2 or 3 hours, because I had nothing else to do. Their bus was right at the entrance and I didn't even realize that it was them, until Winston got out for a walk. There was a light rain, but he still was doing photos with fans, me included. Nothing, but positive vibes from the dude and the gig was awesome.

DEEP BLUE is a masterpiece of an album. Not 1 bad song. Some of the best lyrics I've ever heard in my life. Wish they kept with it. They were absolute kings of metalcore. I'll respect what they do but I'm just not into the new stuff. Hopefully the new stuff helps them soar higher so there old stuff can be exposed to a new generation

It's funny Winston talked about being a "gateway band." All the guys I've dated have been vocal about hating the music I listen to, but over the years I managed to get two of them to begrudgingly tag along to Parkway concerts and it blew their minds. They both started listening to metalcore after that. I guess there's something about seeing these guys live that seems to finally make things connect for some people.

Winston is a legend, man. Personally, I'm not a huge fan of the direction Parkway is going but I will always respect them and cherish the memories I have around Horizons and Deep Blue. Props to him for coming on, this was a blast to listen to

I am always impressed in how Nik makes all this meetings with artist so entertaining and interesting, it show how Nik knows very well all this scene and music, very well done man, mad respect. Also all this guys are cool dudes.

When I saw the music videos from PWD (especially "the greatest fear"), I thought to myself "I sould never give this guy a reason to get angry at me" - seemed like he could tear me apart with his pinky. Now I revise that thought. He's so wholesome and nice. Great Music! Will try to go to a show when they are in germany. 🤘

I feel Parkways evolution has been so obvious over the last 3 records, it's a shame that people rather throw dirt on them instead of just simply tuning out if they don't like it. Darker Still is great

It's interesting that Winston says they struggled to write a ballad. My favourite parkway song is "a deathless song" which I would definitely categorised as a metal ballad and the best one I have heard tbh. Shame they never played it live.

Saw them 2 days ago in prague. Awesome Show and he was always smiling, always happy to be there on stage. Loved every second of this. Personally i really love the new way Parkway drive goes. I used to love metal core, now im more into heavy metal and power metal. I can understand some people beeing disapointed by their new way, but i love it. Best band ever.

The instant I listened to the whole album after only having heard the singles, I knew that these choices were intentional and had some agenda behind them. There are some heavy songs in the second half, so they still "got it". I am so proud of PWD for doing what, to me at least, metal is about: Doing what you feel passionate about, smashing boubdaries and just expressing emotions. I can't wait to experience their musical variety live, they are awesome. I loved this interview a lot.

Recently been getting back into metal after not listening to any in about 5 years. I first heard of PWD when they released Dark Days and it was on the metal TV channels in the UK. Jeff and Winston's talents blew me away instantly and loved the band ever since

I feel the same. I was very inte in flames in the early days of lunar strain up until sounds of playground fading. Then the newer albums came out and I didn't like most of it. And now they're going back to the thrashy chaotic sound so ima love them again. It's weird how a sound you didn't like changes a perception of a band.

I saw PWD live with TDWP back in 2007, Killing With a Smile was my soundtrack of my late teens. I only recently came back to listening to them again and I actually really dig how they've changed gives me this weird Battle Metal sorta vibe sorta like Amon Amarth does for Viking Metal. Lot of people complaining about how bands like PWD & Architects have changed (prime examples) but I love how much bands evolve and create different sounds, some even for the better I personally hated BMTH back when Suicide Season came out but now I really enjoy them.

Winston is awesome and I love PWD, but I just can't get with the new sound. Ire eventually grew on me, but I was still not a fan of the style change, now I've just accepted that PWD are no longer a band for me. I will still see them live when I can though!

I live in Louisville. After louder than life parkway came into the Waffle House my mom worked at (She had no idea who they were until after they left) place was packed full of people according to her and food was coming out slow. She said they were so patient, so cool and tipped extremely well. Love seeing good people succeed

PWD has been the one and only band I've ever crowd surfed to and I'll never forget that moment. Vice Grip was playing, was thrown up by two viking looking guys, and saw thousands of people behind me. Best concert I've ever been to, to this day.

I'll NEVER forget the first time I saw them play in San Diego, I wanna say it was around the release of Deep Blue. The smile on Winston's face between every breath he took was contagious. I'm not sure I've ever seen a more genuine sense of happiness among any band I've ever seen. Absolute legends, but I too will pass on all their new stuff. Stoked for them on all their success, seriously deserved.

I’ve been one of the guys who stays away from the majority of newer Parkway Drive simply because it doesn’t hit me the way I want it to. I love that Winston addressed that, and understands that people just have different tastes and doesn’t take that personally like a lot of artists do. I’ve always loved the personalities of these guys and always check out the albums whether or not I keep them in my rotation.

Pwd are the goats. Not much into their newer stuff tho still have the utmost respect for them. They paved the way for a lot of bands today. Wish they’d go heavier but I get they’ve grown.
