This is a very real and moving interview. Thank you for being such a good interviewer and listener and for letting Susan Shannon talk without interrupting. Heart rending - and I am glad it also focuses on the humanity of the people in death row, who deserve to seek peace and healing through Buddhism. I hope these types of interviews can help change conditions in these prisons. Hearing how the inmates took care of each other through the horrors of early covid are a testament to this work and the difference it makes. Hearing her stories and about her willingness to go back in is inspiring and motivating.
