Had a crush on Ally/Angela Hamilton when S&D was repeated on Channel 5 in the UK in the late 90s. Fabulous actress. I remember in S&D she would always do the intense stuff and tearjerking drama so well. Really a joy to watch.
So great to see such a long interview with Ally, although obviously no where near long enough. So typical of Ally to say “let’s do the fan questions” instead of the sons and daughters questions. One of the reasons Ally has such a loyal fan base is because of how she treats her fans, always willing to interact with them, unlike so many “stars”. I love you Ally. ❤️❤️❤️
Always liked Ally's work that has aired in Britain. Sons and Daughters was quite big over here before Neighbours arrived, and she was in that as well. Ive seen a few interviews online and Ally comes across as a right laugh! I'd like to go out drinking with her! I think i'd have aching ribs for a while afterwards. Loved Ally's roll call of 80s bands - Wang Chung, Bananarama, Go West, Pseudo Echo (great version of Funky Town!), Paul Young, Cutting Crew, Australian Crawl. Thanks TP for another great video.
Another fantastic interview and great to see Ken again 😊 Could listen to Ally all day and she has not aged !! Looking amazing. Roll on part 2! CANNOT WAIT! Welcome back Matt 😊
I’m from the U.K. and as soon as you mentioned ‘Wanna Be Up’ I knew exactly what song you meant. In the late 80s there was 2 great songs I used to hear loads in the background on Neighbours and Home & Away. One was Dumb Things by Paul Kelly and the other was that one. I finally found Dumb Things via the internet about 20 years ago and now thanks to you I know what the other one was. Had no idea Ally was behind that! Both awesome songs but neither troubled the charts over here.
Fascinating also to hear that Peter Bensley was an ex boyfriend of Ally because I distinctly remember a scene in Home & Away where his character Andrew Foley is in the diner singing along to Wanna Be Up whilst it plays in the background. That’s not gonna be a coincidence!
