As a formerly working bass player [who moved into other instruments ~drums, keys/left-hand bass plus acoustic guitar~ and then leaving music entirely for my multimedia production bsn] now reinventing myself on bass, I have to say that your suggestions and exercises are some of the best I have seen on YT. Your approach kinda parallels my own experiments and disciplines. The re-inventing and 'learning bass for real this time around' is taking its own sweet time on the new Ibanez BTB 776 six string but strength, endurance, creativity ... & sounding each note clearly no matter what, are gradually coming around. Thank you for all your good 'teach'.

Hi I am a newbie and watched a few Vids of yours, I like to talk in modes with my band as in Ionian ,Dorian and so forth, this is a bit embarising to ask, But could you please do a Vid on Tri Tone Substitution with in the Turn around of a Tune and I am not fully sure but I thought my Theory teacher use to use it in a 2,5,1 scenario, but I have problems working that out, i get say if in C if with use a 7 or a 4 in the turnaround. I don't know I am a bit lost? Thanks if you have time, or you can just write if waste of time for Vid. Indigo

I like this classical approach very interesting more than chromatismes every where ... but it’s just my opinion (sorry for my bad english)

love it but You have to position yourself well for us beginners

Jeff Berlin "hates" metronomes. I also don't care for them, too robotic. Never played with a drummer who liked them either.
