Talking Technique: Killer Dead Note Grooves 

I am a guitarplayer myself, but i can learn so much from your endless skills. Groove is everything music needs. So i can adapt a lot of these ideas to my guitarplaying. Thanks for sharing it to the world!

Mark King invented the left palm finger slapping. A geniuos to make dead notes and rythms also. Listening closely to level 42 and you will be a master in this.

You are silly! I like you! and thats 2 days in a row i did a talking technique and liked it. To the guy that just asked about conflicting w drummer... Work with the drummer by generally keeping dead notes between beats... Then play a high note when he hits the snare and play a low note when he plays the kick... SOUNDS COOL... 2:36 serious dead note face

At one point the action of my bass-guitar had been oddly set which effected a certain section of the fret board to where it sounded partly percussive without having to mute-were those dead notes? And what are the differences between dead notes and ghost notes?

I think you meant to avoid accidentally hitting harmonics you didn't mean to, however there are types of artificial harmonics called "accidental harmonics" so I'd avoid using this terminology in the future to avoid confusion.
