Interesting video. What course are you studying? British weather is becoming weird, we still seem to kind of have summer temperatures and it's October. Sunday is more like my happy day as on Saturday I have to wake up 4am to work. So sleep early on Fridays I'm not happy about that.
135 should not be a complicated route to learn - compared to the Homerton to Stoke Newington route. There's a fair amount of turnings between Old Street and Aldgate East. Then straight through Limehouse and turn right into Westferry. Where the route uses the same direction as 277 towards Crossharbour. I can imagine the rush hour chaos in Shoreditch and Liverpool Street at peak times. I'm sure we'll hear a short story about this one lol. I understand the sacrifice/risk your colleague went through of dropping out of uni for a bus drivers salary. Does he regret it? As he has no other way out with a plan B. I remember BBM 10+ years back along with the funky house music. Brings me back to my childhood years, as I remember BBM and funky house were a trendy combination lol. I can see the freedom of what being a part time bus driver is giving you - flexibility, leisure and studying.
Oh you know 135? Yeah the driver I was route learning with said someone got killed by a 135 driver cos one of the club goers fell in front of the bus but the driver didn't get in trouble as it wasn't his fault. So I was advised to stay far away from the curb to avoid the club goers on the pavement. It didn't seem like he regretted it cos he said he was able to pay for mortgage , car etc Yeah those were the days, do remember when ppl would be like "bc my pin pls" or they'd say "skeen" Yeah part time is definitely more better than full time. @@RennoHundred Rahh that's so horrific! That moment must be affecting that bus driver mentally long-term with PTSD. I know the route 135 well as I take it to Canary Wharf once in a while. I'm originally from Nigeria, but born in London. I'm 30 years old.
I've enjoyed the videos on your channel. I've been meaning to ask - what are the reasons for drivers not deploying the ramp when I've pressed the 'wheelchair' bell enough in advance (I am a wheelchair user, of course) and I've heard the different 'chime'? Last week, it took 3 stops of pressing the wheelchair bell before the ramp was finally deployed and I was pressing it non stop by the third stop as I was frustrated.
Thanks a lot. I think the driver had possibly forgotten you wanted the stop, was the bus packed? What was the road conditions like? Because some times drivers get distracted as they have to deal with so many different things at any one moment. However I don't see why the driver ignored you for 3 stops.
@@RennoHundred Thanks for your reply. The bus wasn't particularly busy and it wasn't at peak time. At the first stop (my original intended stop), there were some roadworks; I do try to be understanding in these situations. For the second stop, I pressed the bell twice - once in enough time before the stop and once again at the stop. Yet, he still drove off. By third stop I was frustrated. One of those things, I guess!
The problem with these african restaurants is that they serve you as if you were a todler, and they want goid money for it. I stopped trying to support, cause last time i got some chicken and rice, and the chicken was off, and the rice was bit slimeee... 👀
