Tama Club-Jam Flyer drum kit in aqua blue colour.
Tom heads: Remo Ambassador Suede 8" and 10"
Bass drum head: Remo Powerstroke 3 clear 14"
Snare head: Remo Emperor coated 10"
Resonant heads are stock with a 4" hole in the bass drum.

I just jazzed up a nice 14 inch kids bass drum for a bop kit. Its a very nice shell so i rewrapped it and put it on a riser with legs and all and i needed a real time, real sounding 14 inch to compare it to so here i am. Great video. Thank you. My drum sounds kinda like that one and im happy

Hi. I have just ordered one. Couple of questions. For light jazz, is the 10” snare big enough diameter wise for wire brushes, and wide enough for getting a decent cross stick sound (with regular length 5A sticks)?

In my opinion a 10” snare is not adequate for brushes or side stick. But it’s doable. Side stick sound not that snappy. With a 12” snare its kind of ok.

@@rasmuspuranen thank you. I tried this out on a regular 10" diameter tom. I was able to play brushes, but just couldn't play cross-stick, even with smaller 7A sticks. Unfortunately I have decided to cancel my order for that reason. Fortunately I have an amazing retailer in MusicWorks Wellington NZ who is easy to work with.

Thanks, sounds surprisingly good given the small size! why did you choose this over the tama club jam vintage series? also portable but maybe a bit more powerful with the 18 inch bass drum and 13 inch snare?

Just wanted the tiniest possible for portability. And yes, they sound surprisingly good. When mic'd up with a proper PA it's just amazing.

@@rasmuspuranen tnx for the reply. and what if you'd want to practice with a (funk) band in a practice room without being mic'd up, would the flyer also hold up?

@@tendingtropic7778It's kind of hard for me to tell. I always use in ear monitors with at least a bass drum and overhead mic. But I'm pretty sure they would hold up. It's all about tuning and playing technique.
