These new kits look and sound gorgeous! Fingers crossed that in the near future we'll get full kits to go along with the G Bubinga and Dynamic Bronze too! LOL
Love this kit, probably the most in the current SLP kit range, however, would have preferred to see it come with the 13x7” G maple snare. It has a much louder and crisper sound, than this one.
Why all the kits are made for jazz drummers these days? Or propably the right question, why everyone wants to play jazz kits nowadays, regardless of the genre?
1) Most average drummers think that with jazz kit they will sound and looks more skilled and will be accepted by pro musicians. 2) Drum manufacture companies makes more money with jazz kits. Because jazz and smaller kits are expensive than it should be, with less wood and metal parts spent to make them. Drum companies invest in strong marketing about Jazz/Bop/Bebop/Cocktail/Pancake/Club Jam/Martini/Micro/Jungle/Hip/Midtown/New Yorker etc. drum sets and with that wash average drummer's brain for years.
