My sister ran a business taking care of Tamagotchis back in grade school. She would keep them in a row inside her desk and check them throughout class to keep them alive. Because she was quiet and well behaved, teachers never suspected that her looking down all the time was anything but her reading. She had 5-10 customers per week, and charged a dollar a day. She made enough money to buy an N64 in less than a month.

No way they are making an english tamagotchi???? I’m so excited!!! And 80$ is the typical price for a colored tamagotchi, they’ve been making them in japanese for years now
I don't think so. You can have 2 of either type, or one of each. I have one of each---a blue fairy, and a green magic. The possibilities of offspring are greater with one of each, as there are different characters in the versions. That's been my experience, at least. (Jan Griffiths).
I loved Tamagochi.... but i always had commitment issues so my poor baby always died, i still remember asking my mum to use a nail to restart the game with the button on the back, ahhhhh memories
It's great to finally see some gameplay! :D Btw there should be a mention that some parts of the game needs to be unlocked ONLY by connecting it to another Tamagotchi On! so you'll need two of them to maximise the full gameplay.

The serious collectors. This has already come out in Japan actually there’s like four versions of this out already and the US is finally getting it, a colored tama! So everyone who has been in the loop wants to know the changes Bandai made from the Japanese version which is the Tamagotchi Meets. They’ve already made something like this called the tamagotchi Mix but it never left Japan, that was the first gen tama that did gene mixing. Tamagotchis never left they just stopped being released outside Japan.

I use to watch you on sourcefed then whatever happened to sourcefed happened and I only saw you on IG and now I find you on this channel because I specifically looked up an unboxing of this tamagachi after amazon advertised to me. Lol the dream thing is probably hinting at the fact that you can catch your tamagotchi dreaming at night when it is asleep. Since the ON is a translated and bug fixed version of the meets (to my knowledge). In the meets this thing can also happen and you can see your tamagotchis dreams when they are asleep.
I stumbled across your video and I want to cry out of pure jealousy, I've wanted a color Tamagotchi since forever and I can't believe they're finally coming over to the West dskflkds Funny how you say it's releasing in August tho - EBGames, a game store in my home country Canada, states it's coming out in early July...~? Yup, Digimon actually started as the Tamagotchi version directed for boys. In fact, Bandai released this and the Digimon 20th anniversary in english after being absent of the american market for years.
They have a large market in Japan and have occasionally released some in the US over the years. This is the first color tamagotchi to be released in the US though.
I love these little eggs. I have the Japanese version of the Tamagotchi On called a Meets. The app doesn't work outside of japan unless you have a bootleg copy if it & it could reset your device. I am so excited to get the English version to compare & finally use the app.

I just found out about this thing. I remember having these as a kid and I want to get my daughter one for a Christmas so I checked RU-vid and thankfully Steve has a video. Now I don’t have to watch a kid review it.
I got an early release of my Tamagotchi On at my local EB Games Store (Game Stop) and I have the Japanese version as well. It is nice to have the colour Tamagotchi in English now.

Oh my goodness! I don't know how I didn't know about this before! I'm a HUGE Tama fan, and it's so so cool to finally see an official color Tamagotchi release here in the states! I'm so exited, and I'm definitely gonna get one!
Right, Osutchi and Mesutchi from 1997 mated like crazy. The way you had to press the devices together felt very adult! A girl in school had a Mesutchi so we let our Tamagotchis mate. It was a blushing awkward moment.

It's messed up that Bandai, a huge company, hasn't put usb charging in these neither in Japan or the US but there's a cheap Chinese knockoff Tamagotchi that does have a charging port. Like why is a random Chinese factory doing things better than the official makers?
@@LeeDee5 Yep, and I have one of those knockoffs. The USB charging is so much more convenient. That device has great games as well---more choices than tamas. And it's also in color. (Jan Griffiths).
the tamagotchi connection models all allow marriage and baby making. the adult character will marry, have a baby, and raise the baby for a short time in some models.
Now Pokemon Company has to do is create the ultimate virtual pet hardware system just like this, where you have: + Random Events (such as discovering Pokemon to battle/capture as well as other trainers with problems/quests) + Pedometer type tracking (basically make it like Pokemon Go where you walk and your device tracks your moves and with GPS determines how much you're moving and such to reward you with things like discovering Pokemon to maybe items) + Bluetooth/Wifi features (to connect with trainers in person, or go online to battle/trade with trainers across the world) + Pokeball shape design (not like a pokeball replica because that could be bulky for the pocket ((unless they find a way to make it fight while also being comfortable to use)) but something that makes it look similar so fellow trainers can recognize each other) + Same mechanics/values of the original games (so you actually battle/catch Pokemon instead of the stupid PoGo candy/stardust system. You start with your starter and can collect various Pokemon by fighting them and catching them and then fighting other Pokemon to level that new captured Pokemon up) + Pokemon Amie? (I forget how it's spelled, but basically include those daycare features virtual pets have where you can pet them and feed them and bathe them and cure them of illness except without the dying part) I'm sure there's more I could say, but essentially I just want a MILLION TIMES BETTER Pokemon Go but as an actual hardware device instead of a boring cellphone app. It would just be cool to see everyone with a Pokeball (or Pokeball-like) device walking around with their team of Pokemon they're raising and battling it out with other trainers.
Dude I'm so envious! I've known about the newer tomogatchis for a few years now but I never bought one because they weren't in English! Definitely preordering this a few paychecks from now.
I'm so happy RaTamaZone got to review the Tamagotchi On because it's clear you don't know what your talking about, "first time making babies" and other things that were there since the Tamagotchi Connections that were on ToysRUs back in the days. I hope people getting into tamas do better research.
The tamagotchi on isn't the first ever tama with connection functionality. That would go to the tamagotchi v1 released in the early 2000s just want to clarify that!
I have Tamagotchi Mix, it seems to be the same thing except it's in Japanese and has been out for couple of years...cool thing is that you can randomly open different locations and meet other Tamagotchis
