I think the issue arose when the postal services all changed their policies regarding shipping electronics with batteries. To avoid the issues, they've started removing batteries I think.

This is a dream come true, I remember scouring amazon as a 15 year old looking for an english tamagotchi color+ and crying bc they were all over a 100$ and not even in english. I’m glad to say this will be my first color tamagotchi! Do you know what the price range is?

I'm 30 and so excited to get one!!! I grew up with the hype of tamagotchi, I love the whole aesthetic but never wanted to spend the money on a Japanese version that I can't understand 😭 I hope this version catches on in the u.s.! I could imagine all the cute accessories that could be made, the playability through the app too just adds that next level of engagement with your tamagotchi and others. I'm stoked!

A little over a year ago, I saw a Tamagotchi version 1 remake being sold at Staples. It was in the back of the store among bargain bin items that they wanted to get rid of for a few dollars. I got it out of nostalgia as that was the same version I first played with when they first came to America. Now I'm currently waiting for my Tamagotchi On to arrive from Amazon so I can see just how much Tamagotchi has evolved over the years.

I adore this new English version! Have been a die hard Tamagotchi fan since its original release in North America in the early 1990’s! I currently own two Tamagotchi M!x - one which is the Sanrio version. Both Japanese! I’ve memorized the menu options so playing has become like second nature. I am however, excited to get my hands on one of these because they can connect with each other! Thanks for your review! 🙏🏽

I wish I wasn't a grown man so I wouldn't have to feel embarrassed for getting excited over a new Tamagotchi. I last had one when I was 10 and I would love to relive the nostalgia, but sadly it seems most of the newer tamas are mostly, well... Very girly? I'd get some looks trying to buy one for sure :')

No need to be embarrassed by what you enjoy! I'm a grown man, and I certainly have my fair share of Tamagotchis, and often take them out with me. It's not about what others think, but what you want. Don't let the girly designs stop you from getting a Tamagotchi if that's what you like. :)

Get a green one. However the thing with the different colors is they each have their own designated areas. Like pink has fairyland and purple doesnt ect

Great review! 😊 Initially, I thought that the ON was a worldwide release, but it seems to be more of a US/Canada release from what I could gather. The only Tamagotchi items I've seen here in the Europe is the Nano. I guess it's still a pretty small market to consider as Bandai's extended market. 🤔 Good to know that it can connect with JP versions! Now I'm also wondering if the ON, Meets, and Korea's Some can interconnect with each other. 🤔

I love that it is finally in English! I've been playing with my 4us and while they're great, it makes it easier and more fun now that I know what's being said! I DO miss some functions like the gym-type games for weight. And I wish that it would stay in the menu after using an item like the first aid kit or a toy. And the lag is kind of annoying but... Overall, I got over it! They're so cute and the pros definitely outweigh the cons.

Left the tamagotchi game a couple years ago now. Gave up hope long ago that Bandai would release the fabled color Tamagotchi in the US. On a whim, I looked up tamagotchis to see what was new and discovered these were available to purchase in stores. Cannot express the joy I had just seeing a tamagotchi (and a color one at that) on the shelf at my local store. Had to get one.

I’m really happy to be getting one soon. Though I wish I discovered the adorable Halloween shells for the Korean edition before I ordered mine. It’s great to see a color tama in English but I’m not a stranger to just assuming what the Japanese means by context or taking a picture and translating it. I can’t wait to actually be able to read their conversations!

Thanks so much for the review, Ra. Now that you've had the On for almost a month, have you noticed any of the glitches or issues that people have complained about with the meets, mainly that the meets would reset randomly, etc.?

Hey Ra. I just found out that you indeed can connect the On to the App and send Items, Money, Wallpapers and so on. The message you saw on your screen means that you have to simply delete one of your previous connections to the App. The App only has 3 Connection spaces. Once you deleted one you can just enter the App. I posted already some pics inside Instagram. Just tap the red button and the app shows you the 3 Profiles. Tap one one and again enter the red button to accept. Then the app should restart to connect to the Tama. Have a try 😉👍

Well those boxes certainly are “Large and in charge!!!!!” So I guess Bandai accomplishes what they wanted! A WHOLE LOTTA packaging!!!!! Also, I felt very bad when I saw you got purple and pink colored shells, when you could have gotten blue and green ones! (NOT saying that it is not AMAZING that you got them period!!!!!) but I know how you feel about pink!!!!!! I can’t decide which to pre-order 😭😭

You bring out certain items and it will attract certain pets. And the pets themselves can breed as well

How do you switch the toys? I keep getting ‘something is outside’ so I assume that if you already have a pet then there is no point of using the outside option for items.

@@strawberryrose correct when you have a pet theres no need to put anything outside. But you have to visit your pet regularly otherwise they will run away

They should be able to connect to visit each other, though they can't exchange gifts. May try connecting a couple more times.

You can't pause them in the traditional sense, but there's a day care at the Tama Hotel, plus if you're on 2nd generation onwards, you can drop them off at their parents' house until 5PM.

The blue and pink are fairy land the purple and green are magicland. Those are places those colors open solely

No, Bandai currently has no plans to sell this in Europe. That doesn't mean it won't be, it just hasn't been mentioned as of yet. We've heard news of a Korean version coming out. But that's the only one besides the On.

You can order the English version from Amazon.com (not Amazon.de), they'll ship to Germany, but you'll have to pay around 15€ shipping costs

The basic idea of rising a Tamagotchi is similar but there is other difference as off springs in Tama On show parent characteristics for the baby. There is no pierce you put into a Tama On however there is the smart device app for various new functions.

There is a blue one and a green one, and it is possible to change the faceplate, but you have to be careful and you risk scratching the plastic. I did that with my tamagotchi m!x and I loved how it turned out! I wasn't a fan of all the sparkly so I printed out a pastel Galaxy print to put on there. Fuzzy-n-chic has tutorials on how to do this as well as print out faceplates! People sell faceplates for a few bucks on Etsy too if you don't want to cut them out. I'm thinking about doing that bc I'm not sure how good I'll be at cutting around those tiny button holes 😂 anyway, good luck!

I'm super glad someone from the community got there hands on the Tamagotchi On because the review i saw from a boy like two weeks ago made me cringe so hard even more when he said stuff like: "first time Tamas making babies", i hope people looking into getting a Tamagotchi looks your video instead of his since you are clearly more online with how Tamagotchi work and not in it just for the views.
