I love this song so much and she really did the best she could at the time I just wish she’d stop trying so hard and relax and sing. This was definitely her BEST album I can play the WHOLE thing and sing along that’s some true great R&B!
She was trying hard because she was SICK with bloodclots in her lungs, and didn’t know it. She had trouble breathing because of it. So the notes that are usually effortless, was hard to push out.
The fact that I watch this, and knowing that Vince was physically abusing Tamar... He really tried to sabotage her career and she was trying her, and doing her best... Just getting out the hospital, from suffering from blood clots from the abuse... Man Tamar Braxton been through so much and I'm glad she's still here... The people around her though, she needs to get rid of and stop thinking that they validate who she is...
I would of never known Vince put his hands on her, that was so horrible, but I can say I’ve always noticed he did try to down play her career, anything she wanted to do he found a problem with. Smh

This woman's voice is EMACULATE.. Even with a cold she is PHENOMENAL, Early in the morning PHENOMENAL, on tour and tired PHENOMENAL..We need more vocalist who push the bar like this. her looks during this era was everything!! She was going places! Vocally, this performance was bad. Sis can sing, but there was a lot of vocal strain and cracks.

So whether it was pre-recorded or not, if the notes couldn’t come out live.. then it definitely wouldn’t have come out when prerecording, either. She had trouble breathing, and was hospitalized a few days later. It wasn’t your average cold. - aside from the minor vocal flaws here & there, she sounds JUST like the record.. “bad” is a stretch! 🙄
