independent-thinking individuals stand out. If you asked many "kiwis" or maoris or whatever else, who in nz stood out the most, tame iti would be high on that list. The people who hate on him tend to be conformists who no one will remember when they're gone. People like tame iti are well remembered because they draw attention with how different they are to most people.
This is how all Māori should talk, they all come from separate Iwi.
