It will not bite & even it bite they bite smoothly not hurt coz they are tamed & i hope it's age is not more then 4 months i have 12 pair from long 6 years
@@adil2ui would like to send you my cocktail photo.... I wants to know their age and with your experience could you tell me at what age should i give them breeding box?
ok a few tips. never come straight for above. that’s a predator thing. start by giving him some millet or treats through the cage bars and slowly work ur way up to them taking it out of ur hand. animals are usually very food motivated. make sure he has lots of toys and let him out to fly around once he’s more comfortable. be patient it can take a while sometimes for them to get comfortable with u but they will eventually warm up
I feel like he doesn't really like it. Taming is than your bird willingly comes to you. You just made him get a scratch!! Hope you have healthy bird and a good day!!
PLEASD BLOW THIS UP SO THE CREATOR WILL SEE when they bite you don’t move your hand or react to the bite just stay still if you do move or show a reaction it will learn that biting will make you stop touching I have 3 birds and I post about them one of them bite but when they do I don’t move and now the bird that bites stopped biting me I hope this helps!
Let the bird get used to you. Speak in a calm voice. DON'T start by trying to pet, especially from above. BE PATIENT. A bird is not a toy. Respect his space, and little by little, he will warm up to you.
I would recommend having your hand away from the bird (still in the cage) then pull your hand in close vary still and slow. Once he is comfortable with that you can start putting food on your hand and do the same thing. If you do this he will know that your hand brings good things😊
Okay leave him alone. First step is to make him trust you and then second thing going straight is forceful. When he will start trusting you he will bow his head towards you by his own🙏
Not true. Sometimes it's the only way..trust that you can touch them without hurting them sometimes has to come first and the body comes after..sometimes the only way is to force them to let you touch them ..that dose not mean grabbing the bird and holding them in your hands and not letting them get away..
Not all cockatiels like scratches, one of my birds loves scratches and he will let me know when he wants one. My other one does not like them but she is really comfortable with me. I’ve had them both for 3 years so it really depends on the bird
I have a question. How do I know if my cockatiel likes to be touched? I am a new owner, I got my bird last month. He is untamed. We are working on stepping up for now but I want to pet him soo bad. I don't force him or scare him of course. If I don't try to pet him, will he ask for scratches when we are bonded? Or is it something that I should teach him?
Most cockatiels are scared of fingers and hate fingers so keep that in mind, also taming a bird is the bird willingly trusting you not whatever this is...
Wouldn't recommend forcing the bird into the pets, even if the bites are not that bad. The bird was obviously uncomfortable and didn't want the touching. Also, if you're gonna do this anyway, at least teil bites are pretty gentle. Don't try this with a conure or you'll lose chunks of your finger lol.
1- make them comfortable around you. Do ur things like reading/working around them 2- give them treats with your hand so they get used to your hand 3- touch them, don't scare them 4- train them to sit on ur hand. Tada! U tamed a bird. But keep in mind, it takes time n effort. Love also, And don't be greedy, give them space and don't mind if they fly away.
You approach her from above, put a flashlight into her face and you disturb her while she tries to sleep. You wouldn't be friendly under these circumstances either.
Ok small cage ☑️ No food & water☑️ No toys☑️ No snacks ☑️ Now i know why your bird doesn't like you cockateils like big cages and a lot of toy no rooe toys no bell toys no sand paper no sand wood to be on and no and they btw you don't have any snacks for your bird nor food or water
I've been working with our 8 month old male white face for few weeks. We got him from pet store and he's just not getting comfortable very quick at all
They can sense your fear if you're scared they can tell So if you don't act scared when you do it and you don't flinch then maybe it'll work if you like and go up to them without fear and do it they actually might let you but if you flinch and go away every time that the bird does that then they're going to keep on doing it cause they know you're scared of it so just a fun fact
Here’s what I’ve been doing so far with my bird so far she will let me touch her back maybe her head if she wants First give him/her seeds from ur hand as a treat then if they are good with that have them step onto ur hand when they don’t expect it show them it’s alright then do it more and more and more then they should be okay with ur finger then try to touch their back then after a bit they should let you do more things with them Also do not over tame ur bird it can make them overwhelmed and stress them out, not saying you are
Dont do that ur bird wont trust u i used to do that and the bird will bite so try spending more time with it like talking or just sitting next to it so next step is to put ur hand in the cage and do not move it and last step is to put food in ur hand and offer the food to the bird if it is comfy u can try to put ur hand closer to its belly it might stand up on ur hand and u can slowly take it out and put the bird next to u on the couch or ground etc and if ur bird wont go in the cage by itself dont chase it!! U will lose all progress with the bird instead this is what i do put its cage next to it if the cage is too heavy thats ok u can grab its smaller cage or carrier and let it go in and put the small cage/carrier next to its original cage and there it goes the bird will still trust u! Hope this helps.
U have to slowly approach the little bird and see if it likes you or not wait a few days for it to warm up to you and then slowly start taming it but first try to make it come on your finger so it trusts you
I can tell that this video was taken at night. Trust me all birds HATE being touched at night, and will usually be aggressive. Try doing stuff like this in the daytime instead🙂
If they bite at you let them bite you because if you act scared then they will keep doing that and they won’t stop I have cockatiel myself and I just let him bite
Put your hand with treats next to your cockatiel. He or she will have your attention and eat from your hand.if you do it safely, it will most likely get to step on your finger or hand.if it’s okay with that you have a new friend😊
Ok yea no Head is practically avoiding the fingers Starts biting your fingers multiple times A little advice try to send your bird a sign asking if it wants scritches or not I do it with mine and it enjoys the scritching and will even bite if I stop Another advice is don't start scritching right away start making the bird comfortable with you first Also yes it isn't easy to tame one and from the looks of yours it probably isn't even tamed yet
never approach like this, if they bite you, you stop, my cockatiel is playful and demands more pets by biting me then bowing his head. but this is how you make a bird terrified of hands. taming birds is completely different than taming dogs.
He didn’t want the scritches so why did you scritch him and plus cockatiels are intelligent birds and learn easily as I have the same exact cockatiel as you but I don’t just shove my hand in the cage and start touching it when it doesn’t want it and also my cockatiel learned flight recall and it loves scritches but I don’t scritch it when I want,I scritch my cockatiel when it gives me the sign it wants scritches. It’s not the bird’s fault,it’s the fault of the one who owns it and treats it badly. And the cage is the bird’s territory so you are acting like a predator and shoving your hand in its territory where it feels safe.
Why are you forcing her or him it can be clearly seen that he or she is not comfortable with you. You can just suddenly touch them firstly you have to make a bond with them. First tame your bird then touch them.
I hate to say it’s not easy mine still don’t want anything to do with me it takes time not all birds are the same so and your bird don’t want to be petted hence it biting you start small
how is yours so calm, mine went apeshit when i first got it. I let it settle down in a cage but its still scared and it screams sometimes (not the kind of scream that is him wanting to get out his cage).
Lmao , if thats taming then i already did it , tho i hsve the same type of mutation cockatiel and it lets me pet it , its my first day having him and he hasnt bit me 1 time
