the flute style instrument I believe is called a ney, I could be wrong, and the guitar is called an oud. It's very similar to a lute, like u pointed out. Also, like someone else already pointed out, the bassist is Colin Greenwood from Radiohead! I think Tamino's music is so unique and he's done something really special by blending alternative music with arabic music.

Love your guys’ analysis and reactions! Fun fact: The bassist in that band is actually Colin Greenwood from Radiohead! A reaction to the Habibi or intervals live performances would be amazing too

The amazing guitar like instrument is called OUD which together with the flute and some of the musical influence, is ARABIC: NOT Mediterranean, NOT Mideastern- it is ARABIC. say it it exists -it is a a vast rich, diverse, tantalizing and long lasting multi-culture of hundreds of million of people, who are the most vilified in the most racist way possible -considering how many they are. Tamino is doing the little he can to try and change this. Please educate yourself
