I love Tamiya motorcyle kits, they are great out the box! just wish they would do the popular motorcycles in Europe! Sportbikes have had there day on the road!
Thanks for the look. As Tamiya has kindly decided to drill the rotors on this one, perhaps there is hope for precut demarcation stickers in the next 20 years.
This looks like a great kit! As you probably know, just the other day Yoshihiko Matsuo, designer of the beautiful Nissan Fairlady Z, passed away. It would be nice to honor him with a tribute build of a S30 Z!
Hi Paul. The detail up set is available from Wonderland Models, so must be in circulation. Looks an awesome kit and a great review as always. Thanks Paul
I do like a bike build, especially a Tamiya but rather like you I prefer the race bikes to road bikes, that being said this does look like a cracking kit and I'd love to see a video build of it if you can find the time to fit it in please and indeed thank you :) take care out there.
Hi Paul Really enjoyed this video as always. Brembo? Brambo? No this is Paul talking so it is RAMBO!!! 🖐😄👍 ANOTHER GREAT TAMIYA KIT!!!! Take care buddy
Got to love a blade , my mate had a limited addition by John Mcguiness in 1/1 scale the colour scheme was like a pint of Guinness ....had to get rid of it as he was close to getting bicycle clips lol 😂. Another cracking review Paul 👍
Hi Paul, forgive me but I feel like I should shed some light on some of the parts. The body part you showed (the one with the circles and gills) is the front of the tank. The front brake calipers are Brembo Stylema monoblocs (sic); they're the latest top-of-the-line calipers from Brembo. The tyres are actually special although they're not slicks. They are the Pirelli Supercorsa SP which are homologated for production racing and road use.
Great video Paul, I'm a complete novice to modelling and I've bought a few kit's in different fields to try and maybe find my forte, one of which is a bike, I'm hoping you do this as a video build as I would like to see it come together but I was also wondering if you decide to do a build video, would it have many relatable info/tips when building a "tamiya yamaha xv1000 virago" Thanks again for the video.
Finally mine has been sent out, I ordered the detail front fork kit along. Should I build it or wait for photo etched extra's? Nice review of unboxing the kit.
Gravity Spain are very good paints and service, avoid the USA version though as very unreliable (they are not the same company BTW - Thanks for watching - Paul :)
