Tamiya Hornet - How did we get this, what have we done with it and how does it handle the beach? 

Oh yeah what a cool transformation. That body shell looked beyond help but it came up lovely. The previous owner did you a favour by leaving the film on so you could get the stickers off. Top work you guys 😁👍👍

It turned out super cool, I love the paint job and stickers! I am normally not a huge fan of the colored tires but it worked very well with the paint scheme. They really worked well out on the sand too so that was great fun seeing them throw sand all over! Great job guys!

Great purchase and conversion. I heard of the foil mistake, but never seen it before. But this helped for your plans. Great design with the red. I like the new hornet stickers. Better than the originals.

That was really cool. Turned out looking good. That kind of compacted surface with a loose layer on top is basically what the Hornet is best at.

Always love a little visit to the chief engineers lair, and having a chance to see him work his magic! That was one sorry looking hornet, looked more like a wasp that had a close running with a tin of fly spray! 😂 Not guna lie, I would have probably binned that body and just bought a new one..... figuring the amount of hours labour, and paint remover required would out price the cost of a new body. But that's not the point right? Fair play for taking on the challenge and turning it around in style! Came out superb, and I really love the new livery.... delightful! The new tires look sweet, I've never seen red ones before..... but according Kevin wilson - Red ones are always faster! 😂 Torque tuned is definitely the weapon of choice to put the sting back into this hornet, as demonstrated by the beach run. Perfect terrain for one of these, with the added bonus of a sealed diff and very few places for the sand to penetrate any of the moving parts! Very entertaining content, with your usual top notch level of production guys, sweet. 😊 👍 👍 👍

Took my brand new hornet out with the boy the other week,on a car park to try it out.Great fun,but i could not stop rolling it.Luckily no damage to spoiler,as it seemed to bounce over on tyres.I may use it as a beach car.Enjoyed the video as usual

Great choice. I've modified my Grasshopper so much it's now the same as a Hornet, apart from the body. It's a great low maintenance car for the beach with the sealed gearbox. It gets a bit tedious cleaning out sand from dog bones on other models. Watch out for the Hornet rear wing. It rips off easily after too many rolls 😱

Nice work and a good makeover for it, I love the Jun W one and my 80's on with still running on the original speed control and no cover on the heat resistor and the speed controller has the tamiya black balloon
