Enjoy my collection of propeller driven aircraft models. You will find iconic warbirds from WW2 to Vietnam and can follow the build, paint and weathering process. ru-vid.com/group/PLnh-SozPErfmAyI7EboeaLh6Kd3DqB8iM
Beautiful build, although the weathering was too extreme for my taste. I tend to build WW II aircraft from the ETO, where due to environmental factors and the fact that many of the aircraft flew from better-prepared fields, they were not subjected to as much wear as their PTO counterparts. It's all a matter of personal taste. I remember reading that some ground crews in the ETO actually washed and waxed their aircraft in between missions, so as to extract the absolute maximum performance possible out of the machines.
Thank you for your detailed comment. There's nothing wrong with a nice, clean build. It remains a matter of taste. I think the crews have done their best to keep the planes in perfect condition and you can find reference photos for the whole spectrum. From a modeling point of view, I think a clean olive drab looks very boring. So I exaggerate a little bit and I always have in mind to integrate the model into a diorama but I need to improve my terrain skills. Regards ScalerDan
