Tamiya Polishing Compound & Applicator Cloths Scale Model Tool Review 

Why do modellers spend a lot of time polishing the cockpit clear canopies? I've noticed from photos of actual aircraft, especially WW2 that the canopies aren't exactly crystal clear,so it would seem that if you're trying to make a model more realistic you wouldn't be polishing so much.

I have one question if I may, can I use just the finish to remove scratches?

Do I have to spray clear coat before I use these compounds or can I just apply them directly onto the painted surface since I do not want my chrome finish to get scratched and redo the whole thing again.

These micro fiber cloths, are these like the same that come with glasses cases?

Never bought the cloths I use spec savers clean cloths.

Can you polish Acrylic paint and Lacquer paint without clear coat?

do u know how to remove cement from clear plastics after they dried?

How do you recommend cleaning these cloths after use. I'm hesitant to use my cloth at the moment due to a warning stating "May shrink or fray from washing". Is there a way to clean off residue from the polishing compound, or should I just leave the compound on the cloth?

Is it good to apply this just for protecting your paint job or i really should spray gloss coat to protect my paint job?

Are the micro fiber clothes the same as the clothes you use for cleaning spectacles?
