It was great to hear you talk fondly about this Tamiya RC, Mikael - and no, you don't have to hop-up every car to the max to enjoy it! Sometimes a stock car is just enough, and needs no more to be a great car/truck to enjoy. This came across very well in the video. A very good evening to you, my friend. :)

Thank you for watching, Mark! And yeah, stock is great, especially when you have more than one upgraded with the same chassis 🙂 And the best thing is that the body can just be shifted around for a run or two, when one needs a little upgrade 😅 Wishing you a great weekend, my friend.

I licked up one of these recently. You saved my the job of looking up how many bearings to order 👍🏼 Have a great day

Have a great day too 🙂 Yeah, one of the main purposes with these videos is also the essential upgrades. Pinion options and ball bearings. Glad you could use the info.

Thanks for this. I think I'll put my Mud Baster II body onto my ORV, and put my Blackfoot body onto my Wr-01.

I shift my bodies around too a lot. Not sure if the body mount holes line up with yours? But this Blackfoot III sure have enough holes to fit an ORV.

I really like the Blackfoot III and think it's the best chassis out of all of the Blackfoot's. The box art is really nice too. I particularly like the red pinstripes around the chrome wheels and the chrome detailing around the window trims. However I do think Tamiya should have released it on the WR-01 4WD chassis so it would be even more different than the other 2wd versions. Personally I would leave it totally stock. If you already have another WT-01 chassis that's upgraded then it's always nice to have a stock one to run. It enables you to still appreciate the upgraded one when you run that. We tend to get used to all our upgrades and take them for granted. Then we lose our appreciation of them. I have six CC-01 chassis in various forms. But one is box stock, and still has the plastic bushings too, and I will keep it that way. It's a different experience compared to the others that have the various hop ups. It's more challenging to run and I really enjoy that about it. I enjoyed listening to you talk about your BF III Mikael. Thank you 😀👍

Hi Derek! Always great to read you. Yeah, I agree with the body and the 4WD. I loved putting the body on my WR-01 this summer. Really felt like a classic 4WD Monster Truck. A bit like a Mini Clod. But I also like having a stock WT-01. I might change the bushings and the alloy pinion, just to minimize the wear and tear, and those basic upgrades can’t be seen or felt much. But I totally agree. If one got 2-3 or more (6!!! Like you!) of the same it’s definitely a good way to appreciate the hopped up ones, having one stock. I do the same with some other ones like the DT-02/03 and DF-03. Thanks again for your interesting words, my friend.

I find the smaller Turnigy 2.2 2s packs usually fit in with a little teasing!
@NordicRC
@NordicRC 3 года назад
Yeah, but I need hard packs on these when running it with my son, I’m sure it will be fine, but safety first. Got a couple of rounded 2S LiPo batteries that fit fine.

As much as I love the Blackfoot and the WT01 I was never a fan of the BF III. I felt the body didn't quite fit properly and I didn't like the box art decals. I really wish they would rerelease the Blackfoot Xtreme, Bush Devil II and Mighty Bull though!
@NordicRC
@NordicRC 3 года назад
Hi Han. Ahh, yeah the wheelbase problem. I thought about that when I was editing and uploading, but I think I forgot to mention it in the video. But yes, the body doesn’t quite fit. I like the decals though 🙂 I don’t think they will re-release any of these WT and WR’s any time soon. But I am hoping they will come up with a new entry-level MT chassis.

@@NordicRC the FJ Cruiser body for the CC01 (and any other long wheelbase CC01 body) is the perfect wheelbase for these 😉

Love the shell but don't like the ugly chassis it sits on though! Good video though matey! I have a King Blackfoot chassis looks awesome and extremely durable! Planning on fitting a diff to the front and making my ORV chassis 4wd! 😁👍
@NordicRC
@NordicRC 3 года назад
Uhh, I just love the looks of the chassis on this one. But the King Blackfoot sure is a beauty too. Never seen a 4WD ORV. Very cool and creative project.

I'm in the market for a Blackfoot I'm torn between the WT-01 or the OG Blackfoot with the ORV chassis.
@chibiskyrc
@chibiskyrc 3 года назад
If you aren't particularly nostalgic for the original, I'd go with the WT01. It will handle and drive way better (naturally bc it's a modern design) and will be more durable and reliable. WT01 also shares a lot of parts with modern Tamiyas so the parts are super easy to find. I have both and love both but the WT01 is much nicer to drive.
@NordicRC
@NordicRC 3 года назад
Yeah, my advice would be to get them both too 😅😀
@hendrahendra
@hendrahendra 3 года назад
Yeah my head says go with the WT01 but my heart say go OG, go with the ORV. I'm in Indonesia and surprisingly we have both available locally at the same price too might have to swoop one (or both;) up before someone else does.
@hendrahendra

WT01 Pros: I can upgrade to a dual motor when i get bored Cons: Stupid oval battery housing.
