You convinced me to get one I was on the fence because of the expense but it’s a beautiful truck and with a fuel trailer wow I can follow your steps to get mine built thanks and I’m subscribed.
I have been into RC my whole life, I'm 47 years old. I am into mostly boats, I have some killer boats, big ones, some super scale, some just fast. Also a lot of 1/10 street cars and buggies and stuff. I knew these RC rig kits existed but I didn't know the extent of the detail so now.....my wife is going to be pissed because I will be needing to get one...or two....or three. I love this Freightliner but I really like the Smokey and the bandit rig. Crap! I guess I will start putting daddy's Christmas list together.
Another flawless build......I expect nothing less at this point.....super clean build!!! I was thinking about painting my fifth wheel dolly axle desert sand to match my HEMTT but leave the trailer stock since a HEMTT can tow any kinda trailer.
Paint is gorgeous but I think it needs a silver either pinstripes or a silver stripe sling a body line yo set the blue off even more. I had one in real life like that.
Great video. Just finishing my globeliner. How did you place /secure the MFU into the cabin? The instruction manual says stick with shock absorber tape to the roof but all the videos I have watched have nothing on the cabin ceiling. Pls advice.
Very nice build, so much detail. Where can a kit like this be purchased, and what is the cost of the kit and wiring sound package. I have always built the plastic model kits. Going to great extent with the detailing such as wiring the engines. This looks like a very nice complete kit, I'm very interested in finding out how and where to get one. Your paint job was very nice, and your polishing technique seems to bring on a nice finish. Also your idea of using the metal tape to secure your wiring was a very good idea. I look forward to more of your videos and outstanding builds. Stay healthy
you making me really miss driving truck with this build. my best friend and team drove cross country in one of these. stupid question, do you buy the servos and controller separate?
Great series on the Cascadia. Made me buy one. Got the whole shabang minus the trailer. That will be next. Wish I could have purchased from you but your site said you are shut down ATM. Couple Quick questions. What is a good servo to buy? I noticed you used Spektrum. My LHS carries those and I have used in the past in my airplanes so know they work well. What do you recommend. Also, was wanting to upgrade the motor as you did to a 45T. What is a good option to go with? Unfortunately I pulled the trigger on the Tamiya radio made for the trucks. Had I known the radio you used is so much less money I would have went that route. Also, will the truck (or MCU rather) only work with NiMh or can I use my LiPo packs from my other cars in it? Thanks and Cheers!!
Yes. I have 2 Scania R620's that I am going to build into a 3 rear axle and 2 front axle monster rig. I also have all kinds of hop ups for it so will be a very cool build. I will have it on You Tube when I do it (probably a few months away).
Right near the end when you had the truck on the desk and was testing it.. I noticed an excavator on the shelf beside the JR box. What brand is it? And can you do a quick video on it?
Interesting you asked because I was already thinking of doing that. I will in fact do it in the next 2 weeks and have a comparison between 2 different models.
Excellent! I noticed that there are no exhaust pipes. Would it not be proper to have a single vertical stack behind the sleeper segment? Again, very informative and mostly very well done.
For the exhaust stack, Cascadia's did not come with traditional single or dual stacks. they came with belly mounted exhaust like you will find a a straight body box truck.
Is this kit no longer available I can't find it anywhere. My buddy wants one so bad he drives one for work every day and wants this kit after learning about the Tamiya semi's because of my grand. Please help
