The TRF paint job is beautiful! I also like the basic silver/grey on the first body, the way it picks up the contours of the body in the light is awesome. Awesome looking machine! 👌👍

This is still One of my favourite cars in your collection. There is only one thing I would add and that’s the blue alloy rear hubs. They are so sweet And maybe the exotek blue battery thumbscrews. Love that paint!

Looks great Glenn, but then I was always going to say that. I just love that setup. Don't worry what people think about the MS colours. I accidently put a picture on my normal Facebook of my MS paint 201 and you should of seen the comments from my mountain bike mates about toy cars and pink. Anyway I asked them if they wanted to go and play in the woods on our bikes and they shut up🤣🤣

I’m with you the TRF colors are 🔥 If you are into having your cars done up in box art then that’s officially the TRF box art as I see it 😂 I wish I could paint like that definitely need skill & patients, personally my RC race bodies get the same quality paint as a Taxi cab less is more as quickly as possible 😂 Happy New Year 🍺😎👍🏽

Glenn nice set up go with 14turn motor very balance at the track after that you don't want to drive reg out of the box rc kit unless you do bunch of hop up.

Holy crap, the paint job on that bodyshell is amazing!! The car looks really good dude, nice one. The only thing odd, at least for me, is that those front wheels and tyres look really big, or perhaps that's just my dodgy eyesight ;) And I wonder what the TRF colours would look like on a Lunchbox bodyshell.......

Body looks Fantastic but I find the wheels too plain. I've just bought Kyosho SCH006 in black and they look badass with square spike or round spike wheels stretched on. A set of 4 white would really make this look 100% BADASS. Just need adapters for the front.

I hear what you are saying about the cost of shipping decals. Unfortunately EBay and PayPal insist on items being sent tracked. This makes the cost expensive as some postal services don’t simply let you add tracking to a letter, but rather you must send it as a parcel. Also, some shipping companies (such as fedex) have suspended economy shipping options due to Covid. Luke

I have the superstock BZ with a 23teeth pinion gear and a TEU302BK in my Zahhak (light TRF201). It is enough power for this light vehicle.

Hi Glenn, can you recommend a current belt driven tamiya 4wd car? At a sensible price! Love doing tamiya builds, have racing fighter, hornet, lunchbox, subrau brat, dual rider, tt02 nsx, comical grass hopper and what something a bit faster belt driven.

Hi Steve, you did say car, so XV-01 chassis gets my vote, maybe my favourite RC car in 20 years, I say this as in 37 years of rc I've never double dipped before and yet here I am building my 2nd one, they handle like true rally cars, easy controllable oversteer, add tamiya cockpit and styrene roll cage and they make hell of a model while even sat on shelf, but most importantly it's been since the 80's since I've had this much fun each pack I put through her, grin factor is a 10. Excellent paint job! One thing I haven't understood, is this model competitive...as in is it the same level as Associated, Kyosho, Losi, etc? I'm not a big Tamiya fan, as I never grew up with them, and it is clear from a performance and design perspective that they are nothing near modern designed vehicles, thus the appeal of Tamiya is clearly not these areas. But this buggy, it look like a proper, more modern design...so is it actually a race level machine?

Yes this car won the European championship in 2010 I believe driven by Lee Martin. Obviously it’s dated now but still a cool car to have in the collection 🤩🤩🤩

@@TAMIYALegends Interesting! I've never followed racing too much, but looking at this design, it looks competitive, just wasn't sure. It would be interesting to see Tamiya update their old vehicles. Re-runs would still be made, but offering modernized versions of their vehicles would be impressive. I was watching your vid on the Sand Scorcher, the customized one, and it looked amazing, but was thinking: "What if Tamiya revamped the vehicle entirely, developing double wishbone suspension, better geometry in suspension and steering, a rear diff, and stiffening that chassis. Something that handles well in comparison to modern designs."
