Just test running the freshly cut short grass and comparing the Tamiya Blackfoot III XB with the Tamiya Mud Blaster II. No music, no editing, no slow motion. Short and simple and in 4K. It's Tuesday!
For comparison you can watch the Blackfoot III Tamiya Tuesday run in 4K here: • Tamiya Tuesdays in 4K:...
... and you can watch the full run and video of this day, together with our brand new little Lawn Mowing Tractor, on Nordic Hobby Visions right here: • RC Monster Truckin' an...

----------------------
My son's assembly kit the Tamiya Mud Blaster II is running with a 20T pinion and ball bearings and my stock Tamiya Blackfoot III XB is running with an 18T pinion and plastic bushings. Not planning to change my Blackfoot III since I have other WT-01's.
Basically it's the same truck, a WT-01 with a different body. And well, both are running with a not-fully-charged NiMH, so nobody really knows if we are seeing the difference between batteries or pinions and bearings. Looking forward GPS speed test running these with fully charged 2S LiPo's to see the actual difference.
The Tamiya 1/10 2WD WT-01 RC Monster Trucks, the Tamiya Blackfoot III XB and Tamiya Mud Blaster II, are both running with the stock 27T brushed electric motor (Mabuchi/Tamiya Silver Can), which are provided both in the kit and in the XB versions.
Check out my channels for further Tamiya WT-01 specifications, information and many more videos with the WT-01 and WR-01 Tamiya Monster Trucks.
Here's a presentational video with the Mud Blaster II: • My First Tamiya Part I...
You can find the specifications in the video description box. You can also find build updates and the first run on our secondary channel Nordic Hobby Visions.

I got a Traxxas Big Foot #1 flame edition. Oddly fun driving a brushed 2wd!

Ahh, that is really abeauty you got there. Had a Stampede 2WD once and I had a lot of fun with it. Sometimes 2WD and a brushed can provide ample of fun for a good run :-) Thanks for watching and the comment, Tony.

Yeah, it sparked up the fun a bit, getting rid of all the long grass. Looking forward to the day I have a dirt area/track in the garden too :-)

Cutting the grass did make all the difference for running.
@NordicRC

Yeah, speeds up things a bit so even though the new lawn mower did cost me the same as 5-10 Tamiyas I think it was the right investment for the RC hobby fun ☺️

Nice! But for me the best looking Tamiya monster is still the monster beetle. Can I ask you about the white pipe sticking out of the grass next to the tree? Ventilation of some kind?
@NordicRC

Hi Stef! Thanks, yeah love the looks of this one. The Tamiya Monster Beetle is such a classic yeah. Not sure which one I like the most, but the Monster Beetle has the advantage of the hard body with more details etc. Uhh, been asked that before in a prev video. I simply do not know yet :-) Gotta find out soon :-)

The mud blaster drives great well done my friend😁✌

Yeah, the larger pinion and the ball bearings makes her the perfect beginner's classic Monster Truck. And for the Tamiya enthusiast, she's a fun runner and a beautiful Brat :-)

What is the best beginners rc car that has some speed
@NordicRC
@NordicRC 5 лет назад
Hi Grant! Most of the Tamiya entry-level kits run no more than 30 kp, so if it is a fast car you’re looking for I would probably go for a WLToys A959 (check it out in my other videos). Up to 40 kph. It’s only 1/18 so not very suitable for rough terrain though.
