Need some nuts that won't give in to tampering? Look no further than Tri-Groove & Breakaway Shear Nuts! In this video, we've compiled clips of our shear nuts and trigroove nuts in action so you see how secure they can be!
Always keep in mind: tamper proof security nuts are made with the intention of NOT being removed. This way you can securely keep something fastened without fear of a passerby with a screwdriver or wrench taking it away. That said, we also included a way, though not a practical way, of removing security nuts for hypothetical and demonstrative purposes.

I think this with a bit of threadlock would increase the difficulty significantly. I wonder what strength threadlock you can use and still reliably get this nut off with the tool though.

Threadlocker would definitely increase the difficulty. That may be worth some experimenting with in a future video.

how about trying a hammer and chisel to loosen the trim-groove?

That could work if you can get the chisel into one of the grooves, but it would be a difficult process with no guarantee of success. Plus, there's a good chance something can get damaged from trying that.

@jose ramos to be fair it is easy to get around almost any type of security fitting. You just have to have the time, tools and patience. A good security device increases these. It will never be impossible to break open.

Given the little amount of torque on that I bet it would work with the right chisel

If the thief wants to remove AS INSTALLED HERE, all he has to do is one washer and one nut. Just install the washer under the nut, and now the vice grip won't be able to slide up, so it will grip tightly to the security nut. You should make it clear to the end users....

mr am ask cause it has on up stears tower and many there as no another way out of cutting with grinder cause also we want to avoid to loose the power of galvanise from tower iron

plz how can remove this anttheft nuts and bolt when it has fixed from the tower means there as no a specific spanner to remove it

I do lots of drain cleaning.. toilet and urinal clogs.. lol. Often have to take urinals off.. there are two nuts down below... lol. I’m going start replacing them all,, so.. if they call another company.. the next guy is going to cry trying to take them off
