Richard Wong on the 24mm. With macro capabilities could be a great option for B roll. I would use it mostly for video work

Oh cool. Yes it would be great for your video work. Just be careful the camera would have to get really close to the subject when shooting at 1:2

Thanks John! Yeah I have been spending a lot of time to make my little studio looks better. After a year of trying different things, I am quite happy with what I got now. Still got a few small changes I want to do but need to save up some $$$ first! haha Yes these lenses are quite a bit cheaper than the m43 f/1.4 lenses, but the f/1.4 lenses are usually the premium lenses which comes with premium metal construction, really fast autofocus..etc

hey there, oh no i haven't test focus breathing with these lenses. But I did try manual focus a bit with these lenses. I feel they are "ok". They work just like a lot of by-wire autofocus lenses, I feel slightly "disconnected" but can get the job done.

@@TheRealRichardWong Thanks for the reply. Like many people, I wonder why the barrel of the lens is so wide, since it seems the lens elements aren't that wide. Is it just so they could have a 67mm front filter for all of their lenses to make it consistent with their zoom lenses? Why not just make the barrel narrower and include a free filter step down ring? I figured maybe the reason they are so wide is to help fix some other issue like focus breathing or CA or LOCA or COMA or something else.

Samyang definitely has some good alternative options and being smaller in size too! But I feel Tamron's 1:2 maximum magnification also make it an attractive option for people who doesn't have an dedicated macro lens or wants an everyday lens that can do a bit of macro/close up. I love fast MF lenses but they aren't for everyone. I would love to see some affordable autofocus f/2 lenses that is not too long in size, even if the image quality is slightly not as good.

No, they look nice and your photos are great. But i want a faster prime. f/2 or faster.
