This video is EXACTLY what i was looking for, since i have an M50 Mk ii and actually looking for telephoto lenses. Spent the last few weeks watching and reading endless reviews on the 70 200 G2 f2.8 and this 100 400... i think i'll get both of them and the 2x TC also, so i can have more possibilities in every light condition. M50 packs a punch with such a portable format!
I'm considering using this sort of a setup to photograph the eclipse next April. I gravitate towards the 100-400 over the 150-600 because I think I'm more likely to use the 100-400 outside of eclipse photography. Do you think this setup will have enough reach to zoom in on the sun during the eclipse?
I just shot the full moon rise on my tamron 100-400. I’d recommend buy it cause the 150-600 is a tank to carry around especially if your doing other work with it. I use it all the time, one of my go to lenses for everything
Interesting. I’m shooting with a 90D and a 70-200mm f2.8 mark I and I’m getting crazy inconsistent results. OVF is useless with it, but on screen it works but only in broad daylight. Otherwise it’s shimmering in and out of focus.
I have the same Tamron set up on D200 Canon whats the 2x convertor like handheld at 800mm would it be better with 1.4x 560mm convertor handheld for birding shots thank you .
hey sorry it took me so long to see this. It is really difficult hand held like almost impossible I think the x1.4 would be better in that situation in fact I kind of wish I had got that one instead of the x2. Again very sorry this took me so long to respond. Thank you for watching my video!
tried pointing that at the moon? should get a nice image. using your phone or a remote controller for taking the pic will help out with shake on click. i have the m50 but i wanted a m - m teleconverter but i've not found any, guess i'll have to wait till i get a few ef lenses then get a x2
