This came out as Im sort of half way(ish) through playing the Tamurkhan campaign and its funny how in my playthrough the dawi zharr were an annoying neighbour turned into like my absolute bff super allies and to then come here where after butting heads Drazoath is like "You son of a bitch... Im in" Nice to know Im playing so lore accurately lol
Though Tamurkhan failed to acquire Daemonhood; he CERTAINLY succeeded in carving such a bloodthirsty legacy that no one's going to be forgetting until the End Times. & speaking of the End Times; Archaeon needed all 4 Chaos Gods to succeed & the fact Tamurkhan came so precariously close & amassing a massive army with just Nurgle ALONE! That's NOTHING to sneer at!
But Thamurkhans goal was the destruction of Nuln and becoming a deamon prince, while Archaeons goal is the total destruction of the world. Thamurkhan is by all means a mighty character but compared to Archaeon not an world ending threat. I wonder what the other three brothers would have ended up like if they were not scrapped by GW.
@@kakavtakavNo doubt that IF (& this is a massive IF) Games Workshop WERE to do something with the other 3 sons of the Great Kurgan.... Here's how I'd interpret it= *All of the sons are loyal to their patron Dark God; but all of them would be driven to succeed & exceed by their personal legacy of being "Sons of the Great Kurgan" & to earn the posthumous respect of their long-deceased father. *This would explain how Tamurkhan would become ill-tempered as such a drive is rather uncharacteristic of Nurgle's followers. Nurgle is about the resignation & succumbing to despair & are none too phased as long as they're spreading poxes, diseases & other entropic "gifts" of Nurgle; if they fall in battle? SOD IT! it's just part of spreading their sorrow & joy of disease. *Tamurkhan was no doubt one of Nurgle's greatest champions but he was also hellbent on gaining his biological father's approval & to do better than his father! *Khorne's "Kurgan" Champion would be driven to just bring about perpetual bloodshed! War never ending & fighting for fightings sake! *Tzeentch's Kurgan Champion would be devising reality warping mayhem & to twist the winds of magic as one breathes. Slaanesh's Kurgan is to bring about such overwhelming sensations that would rip & tear souls, body & mind all at once!
@@Metalisalearning77 They would have similar starts i bet but would end in different places... Slaanesh Kurgan maybe in Ulthuan, Tzeentch maybe in Brettonia and Khorne perhaps Kislev... They would do alot of damage there, almost ascend to daemonhood and then get killed before they could become full princes. They would share the same fate as Tamurkhan in the end.
IMPO; I'd like to believe that this was a secret test by Nurgle to see how potent Tamurkhan's destruction would be should he & his horde reaching Nuln. The Dark Gods are a capricious bunch! Thus they're likely to turn a success into a failure or vice-versa to test their champions. Interestingly; much of Nurgle's followers aren't too mithered on earthly gains as entropy is an inevitability. As Tamurkhan is as eager to please his father The Great Kurgan as much as Nurgle; it'd be curiouser for Nurgle to see how this would pan out.
What a story, very well told as well. With Nurgle being one of, if not my favourite faction, I was really hoping for Tamurkhan to at least be able to live to continue a proxy war of attrition. Sad to hear of how he chose to part ways with ol' Booba
Games workshop how the hell did they not continue this just absolutely amazing lore. Will say I have no clue how they would be able to have another amazing story much less 3 more so I’ll cut them some slack. And thank you kind sole for sharing.
