Thanks a bunch for another great job, Tony. Still on the fence on the Origin after all, since I already own so many single DDs and I'm somehow afraid, especially after your comparison with the Falcon and the Fermat that other than a slightly different flavour it wouldn't add anything really essential to my collection. I guess I rather save up the money for something down the road and enjoy what I already own in the meantime. Keep it up!

I have the oxygen and the falcon ultra and as much as I’d love having the origin it is too much of a sidegrade. I can’t justify it at its current price. I was waiting for this review though. I’m glad TANCHJIM made a great iem but I think the price needs to be closer to $200 for it to be a home run

I agree it's more of a side grade than necessarily a major upgrade. Price wise if it was under 200 then that would be a major point on its side, but it's unlikely to happen...only on a sale!!

@@akros9333 yes I doubt I will be able to resist a good sale on the origin. I still regularly use my oxygen and I am super curious to try the origin. I agree with you that there is some special sauce when it comes to the oxygen. I don’t care if it is just in my head because I keep going back to it and enjoying it. I want to see if the origin has that effect on me as well. Thank you for all your reviews you are appreciated

Great review. I'm happy to see many nice sounding dds. My reference is Dunu falcon Ultra/blue nozzle with Divinus velvet eartips and Ru6.

I would say they complement each other very well, but don't rush into it....wait for a sale ..or try to listen to it before making the purchase.

Finally the Maestro and I differ on opinions! But I can't definitively say EA1K is the better DD because mine is modded to my sonic preferences (the Paul Wasabi mod). Had Origin been released a year ago (& before the EA500), this would easily challenge all comers but... too little, too late for Tanchjim. As you said, the lackluster cable and tuning nozzles (that don't change tune) don't help. Simgot rules the DD roost. EA1K solidly holds the top spot below $500 (for my ears).

Glad you're feeling Better 😊 curious - 3 different driver setups and price points, but in terms of overall sound, leaning towards Fun and musical, how would you rate price to performance on these vs Rhapsody and Pula02? What percentage increase would you see inclusive of mods? Also wondering if you ever got THE CKLVX 1+4? I remember you commented a while ago that you were thinking about getting it. Thank ya!

I have the Pula on the way so can't really say much. Compared to Rhapsody, the Origin with regards to sound is a more polished product, very mature, smooth and detailed. Price to performance the Rhapsody is better because it plays way better than it's price would indicate, trading blows with IEM in the 100 to 150 bracket easily.

That's right, you have the 01. Thanks for the info. I'm heavily leaning towards the Rhapsody since it is a tax free $35. I've got tips and cables ready to go😜 I can wait on the pricier options. Any plans on getting the Katacco by CKLVX? It's REALLY good and comes with a great pure silver cable and a nice case for about $30. No one is reviewing it. I don't have the Cadenza or Pula01 but from the reviews/graphs, to me the Katacco sounds like what my imagination sees as a baby between those 2 sets.

@@someoneusa Rhapsody is a excellent choice and of the single DD I'd say either PA01 or Artti R2 are the ones to go for. Of course there's the EW200 which is very very good and the Q5 from EPZ

your reviews are really great, thanks a lot. I got the Moondrop Blessing 3 (changed the cable though...Kinera!), which I really like, still looking for a sub 100$ IEM with a slightly different sound. I like classic music mostly, but also a bit of Rock and Electronic. Could you recommend 2-3 different ones please? Cheers!

Well first rec that has impressed me very much is the ARTTI T10.....very nice sounding planar. A second suggestion would be the Pula PA01. Final suggestion is the SiMGOT EA500LM

I found the ea1000 too bright and sibilant. will the origin be better for me in that regard? or does it get too harsh in higher volumes as well

Really great review,you are the star among the others reviewers , fantastic review. I was looking forward for this review. because i am so interested in Tanchjim Origin . and i think i will get the Origin after watching this . but can you compare it more to the other IEMs maybe more expensive ones just to see how it position itself in the higher more expensive competition .i got the KARA and it has good details for my use cases, but i would like to have a Metal shell IEM complementing it . i want to get one more and call it a day. i am trying to decide carefully, because i don't have the budget to have multiple ones.

I'll be making more comparisons but you can go ahead and get the Origin...it's a perfect match for the Kara. Sonically Its a more solid performer than the Kara ....I imagine the day TANCHJIM makes a hybrid using the driver of the Origin and better tuned BA than the Kara.....could be a serious threat to other IEMs if done properly.

@@akros9333 yes I also think the unusual rise there creates fake technicalities that are a wow factor at the start but they become tiresome in the long term.An other fact is also that the over 10 kz in most of the them is not linear as it should be.For me the best tunning would be Oriveti without the too much mid bass around 200 Hz.
