The Diabadass Tour is a journey across America to highlight the individuals, companies, and organizations that make up the 1 diabetic community. The main adventurer is Erik Douds (me) who is an endurance athlete that biked 6,000+ miles in 2017, has been to six continents, and manages type 1 diabetes since 2007. I now use a DIY artificial pancreas called 'Loop'. My grandfather was diagnosed with T1D in 1940.
